Chance at a 2 Seed Now

Post#1 » by jazzrock » Fri Apr 9, 2010 2:15 pm

After last nights outcome, it looks like the Jazz will not get the two seed now. With Denver beating LA, Denver is one game up with three games to go. Denver will have to lose two of three and the Jazz win out in order to even have a chance at the two seed. That doesnt even account for Dallas needing to lose a game.

Looks like we will be a four seed and that will depend on the last game of the year against Phoenix. We may even end up a 5.

Looks like this team has settled into its familar pattern: look lousy early in the season, look great in the middle of the season with lots of hope, and a disappointing finish to end in the middle. All that is missing is the inglourious dismissal from the playoffs. I can hardly wait.

In paper, the chance was lost at Houston... in fact it was lost early in the season against teams like MIN or SAC, or blowing up big lead at Dallas.... or....

Good news is that Denver still plays San Antonio and then Phoenix on a back-to-back. If they lose those two games, Dallas loses just one game, and we win out they rest of our schedule then we would get the 2 seed. Not an extremely likely scenario but not really that far-fetched either.

That isn't that far fetched.

I think that we have a really good chance of winning the rest of our games.

The Suns game at home is going to be really tough.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they

Denver wins vs OKC and Lakers make it very difficult....

Having AK gone has killed our defense. And Memo, who was playing very well of late, doesn't help either.

There is room for hope.....but, yes, it does look an awful lot like past years.
