Alright, I just want to clarify this since I keep seeing it over and over and over again. We cannot sign anyone this off season except with the MLE which means we would move closer to the luxury tax. Even if we let Boozer walk we would be in danger of treading close to the tax line, so signing someone to replace him is out of the question since we are over the cap as it is.

Do the Jazz have any interest offloading AK for either a) cap purposes or b) to resign Boozer and Matthews? Any talk of that from the FO?

It would be very difficult to find someone who has the cap room to take on all or most of AK's contract. You would have to throw in a few picks and it would probably happen closer to the trade deadline.

Full disclosure - We've been discussing obtaining AK over at the Wizards board as we feel he'd be a great fit to our existing team. Something along the lines of AK + #9 outgoing and perhaps a large TPE or our #30 and #34 picks coming back.
I understand it's not fair value for the #9 but wanted to understand how desperate the Jazz are to getting rid of salary.

Not desperate at all. I don't think the Jazz will shop him; they may entertain offers at the deadline, but I could just as easily see them holding onto him and re-signing him at a more reasonable salary next offseason.
Maybe that's my own bias because if I were running the Jazz it's what I would do.
