Re: Boozer
Being able to trade Boozer for Gortat/Bass or Reddick would be an ideal situation for the Jazz ... but there are problems. From what I have read, three years and $12-13 million per is about all the market will stand for Boozer. Therefore, he will be able to merely sign with another team. No one will be interested in the number of years or amount of money that would necessitate a sign and trade.

Re: Boozer
Bulls fan here. Any chance Utah would be interested in a Boozer S&T for some kind of package centered around Luol Deng + 1st round pick(s)?
Deng is only 25, and this season averaged 17.6 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 46.6% FG, 38.6% 3PT.

This...
You never get better trading an all-star, never. Just look at Minnesota, look at Memphis, look at Detroit. Of all those teams that traded their star player only Memphis is starting to recover, and that's because of the great job they have done in the draft.
If anything we trade Millsap (I'd hate to see it happen), who would also be a perfect fit next to Howard. IMO, we could easily get Bass or Anderson (who I prefer because of salary/age/size) and Gortat for a package of Millsap and Fess or Koufos.
Gortat/Okur
Boozer/Anderson/Okur
AK/Miles
Mathews/Miles/Price
Williams/Price
UTJazzFan_Echo1 wrote:Only problem with this trade is that this is an all-star driven league. You lose Boozer (all-star) for Gortat, JJ and Bass (not all stars). Where do you go to for your second or even third all-star caliber players? You don't win championships without multiple all-stars and that would leave the Jazz with only one in D-Will. The pressure on AK, Millsap and even CJ would increase dramatically. Do we really have enough faith in those guys + D-Will to win a championship? Or to even compete/beat the Lakers? Hard thing to sell....
Would make a great overall team but I can't see them winning a championship or taking down the Lakers (especially if they get Bosh and Arenas).

Wow, HolyToledo. That's not very niceHolyToledo wrote:Gortat is soft and the Celtic series has proven that. Basically, we would be getting OKur defensively !!!

Re: Boozer
I would do that deal. Easy for me to say. Topping off at $15 million per is steep, but you get more out of that than we are for Kiri right now.ScottyKCMO wrote:Bulls fan here. Any chance Utah would be interested in a Boozer S&T for some kind of package centered around Luol Deng + 1st round pick(s)?
