I've already tried it, trust me. IT WORKS:
Utah gets: Andris Biedrins, Charlie Bell
Golden State gets: Andrei Kirilenko
Depth Chart:
PG: Deron Williams, Ronnie Price, Sundiata Gaines
SG: Wesley Matthews, Kyle Korver (if he re-signs), Charlie Bell
SF: C.J. Miles, Gordon Hayward, Jeremy Evans
PF: Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur, Kosta Koufos
C: Andris Biedrins, Kyrylo Fesenko/Kosta Koufos
With the Warriors' addition of Ekpe Udoh, I think that Biedris is officially expendable. Hayward makes AK expendable. Andrei would be perfect in the Warriors' system and he would be a good piece if the Warriors are looking to trade at the deadline. The Jazz would get their starting center while clearing their logjam at the small forward spot. We would also get a decent backup shooting guard in Charlie Bell to be Korver's contingency plan. I personally think that the Jazz should do this trade, re-sign Korver with the mid-level exception, re-sign Matthews and Fesenko, and tell Boozer to not let the door hit him on the butt on the way out. Thoughts?

Expect 80 point games regularly IMO... as well as more losing.

You will see AK playing a lot more 4 this next season, so I don't think the draft made him as expendable as you think.

I honestly wouldn't mind more losing as long as it was a team that played with fire. If we made it to the playoffs with this roster, than we would have a far better chance against teams like the Lakers. This would be a pretty decent frontcourt defensively. Offensively Millsap is feasible, Beadrins... meh. But Memo off the bench would be great! It'd be better than the team we have now.

Re: Trade Idea.
Frankly this was in all likelihood offered to the Jazz already for the the #6 pick, and the Jazz said no. They probably already said no to the Maggette deal. The GSW would have rather had AK and his better immediately expiring contract than the Gadzuric and Bell deal they got from Milwakee. This, I am sure the Jazz turned down too.
All the Jazz had to do this off season to move up and take the player they really wanted was to take the last 3 years of Maggettes deal, and we could have had the 6th pick and Monroe.
Should they have done this? Yes, absolutely. He is instant offense off the bench. I frankly would have preferred AK to Detroit for Rip and a swap of picks. Rips contract is bigger, but he is also a starter at SG and better.
I think if the Jazz were aggressive they could have had the pick without giving up the 9 pick if they would have taken on both Maggette and Biedrins. I wouldn't have done that though. Biedrins has a bad contract, but I would done:
AK + #9
for Maggette + #6 would have done it.
OR
AK + #9 for Rip + #7
Perhaps that deal could still happen if Detroit wants out of Rip's deal, but probably not.
We are stuck in mediocrityville.
