Thank you, Carlos Boozer and Chicago Bulls.

Post#1 » by The59Sound » Tue Jul 13, 2010 5:01 am

I'd just like to give a huge thank-you to Boozer, his agent, and the Bulls. Their class and professional courtesy has turned a depressing off-season into one I'm now excited about. Wesley who?

Kidding. Still depressed about Wes, but this Al Jefferson acquisition has me too amped up to go to sleep, despite the fact that I have to be up in 4 hours.

Evidently, KOC was shamed by HappyProle's post this afternoon, because he got his **** in gear.

I really hope people remember Boozer's very professional departure. I know they won't but they should.

I thought it was great. I'm sure he has great things to say about Utah too. I think he ended up enjoying his last year here. It was great to see him leave the way he did, with composure. He will be pretty happy in Chicago too.

i am by far Boozer's biggest detractor in the world!!! BUT I give him credit for helping out the Jazz. He and Sloan had a very good relationship and that paid off as well. I hope he stays healthy in chicago. If he can, he is a great fit next to Noah, but I predict he plays less than half a season next year with a hang nail injury!!!
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Boozer had to sign off on the sign and trade, and as far as I can tell did so just out of good will.

No bad feelings for me with Boozer. I won't miss him, but, I won't boo him either. I wish him well.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

It'll be the age old question when Boozer plays in Utah. Are those Boo's or Booze?

We'll never know for sure, but I will say there was a lot of booze involved in his time in Utah for both good and bad reasons

This is how I felt with Ben Gordon. I dont miss him but I just hated that the people of Chicago booed him. Gordon was willing to return but the Bulls didnt want him and that is not a reason to boo him. The people of Chicago got a big F U from me.

But the Bulls and Boozer left you guys with a nice TPE to help get Big Al. Just depends how much draft picks the Jazz are willing to give up.

Hope this works out for you guys.

After seeing the shameful LeBronacle, I have much more respect for Boozer for signing off on the sign-and-trade and giving the Jazz a chance to improve. Boozer is a hired gun, pure and simple. I wish him good health for the upcoming season and good luck 80 games a year.

Boozer was a great player for us and handled his departure very professionally. However, I always boo the opposing team. I don't think Boozer will get the boos that Fisher gets though.

Boozer was a great player for us. He had to deal with those injury riddled seasons, but when healthy he's played at ALL-STAR level, I couldn't ask for more. While at the moment of the draft I was hoping Utah would go after a big, I'm glad they took a risk and got who they thought was the BPA, especially considering how thin we're getting between the SF/SG positions. I have to grade, this offseason with an A as far as effort if we continue to fill our voids, an A for now, for sure. At the end of the day, a front court of Jefferson/Millsap is much better than our frontcourt of Okur/Boozer, especially injured as is Okur.

Hopefully most of the fans will be aware that CARLOS BOOZER will (seemingly) be the reason that we are able to acquire Al Jefferson, and with that I see the boos being much less harsh than FIsher's (although his are ridiculous and make me disappointed to be a Jazz fan for a split second).

I even started to like him this past season. Kudos for Booz and the staff/FO keeping it clean and fun this past season, that seemed impossible this time last year.

Much love/respect for Boozer from me at this point. It'd be hard for me not to chase a max deal if I was in the position to. Haha.

I will also stand and cheer as I watch Boozer get absolutely destroyed by Jefferson this coming season.

I will always have great respect for the Utah Jazz. Even the day when Jerry Sloan steps down, you will have my respect, cause the Jazz one of maybe a handful of organizations who do it the right way. Who handle their business like a business and never hold any grudge. You are the anti-Miami Heat. And this is why I'm not surprise a deal was reached between the two teams.

Bulls fans know he is a hired gun, but he is somebody we needed since.........1998. Boozer got off to a great start with Bulls fans when he remarked, "don't worry about Dwayne Wade, we are going to kick their ass next year." And it seems to me that Boozer and Noah have hit it off as a PF/C combo.

Outside of Derrick Rose, for obvious reasons, Deron Williams is by far my favorite player in the NBA, and I hope Al Jefferson can bring you guys the same production that Boozer did. Good luck to you guys.

Likewise, sir. I've liked the Bulls a lot in recent years. Only sad that Kirk won't be there to share in the joy of contention with you guys.
