So far the options we have:
In team:
Sundiata Gaines
Othyus Jeffers
Krylo Fesenko
So do we all just re-up these guys and call it an offseason? Or de we go after other players?? We still do have the MLE so we have some $$ to throw around but we don't have much room under the tax to do so without getting taxed.
I personally would move hard to sign Brewer. He ws a really good chemistry guy for the last couple of years, knows the system and knows how o fit in. He IMO could be had for around 1.5 mil/year which sucks for him, but he won't get much else.
So any other min salary players out there worth taking a look at??
BTW, our biggest holes/needs would be IMO:
-3pt shooter
-backup PG
-solid vet presence

KOC is working on finding a replacement for Wes Matthews.

It's looking to me like Matt Barnes could be had for relatively cheap.

I'm no Roger Mason booster, but the guy can shoot, at least. I'd like him for 4 mil.

Who has money left? That's the big question. The initial deals of summer involve teams outbidding one another. Once all of that is over I think you'll see these leftover guys sign for much more modest deals. So I really doubt Mason gets $4M/per.
Edit: OMG, Cleveland just signed Lowry to a 4-year, $24M offer sheet. Nevermind. My god the owners are stupid. They're not going to have a leg to stand on next summer when it comes to CBA negotiations.

I'd love it if you were right, but I guess I'm just not optimistic about not doling out more than a guy's worth in this crazy climate. There's still plenty of teams with the MLE available, right?

Yesterday they were saying on KFAN (I don't even know their name), that every team needs a jerk like Barnes. I couldn't disagree more.

today they say Jazz looking at Roger Mason and Shannon Brown...We sign shannon brown and they may start him with Miles starting at SF with AK-47 providing bench support at both forward positions.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

I wouldn't call Barnes a jerk. I do think that every good team should have a player like him.

Every team needs a Matt Barnes. Every contender at least. We haven't had it since Harpring left.
Why do you think we made it to the WCF that year? Leadership and toughness - Fisher and Harpring. They were the X-factors, even though Harpring didn't get tons of run that year. When he did, well you guys know exactly how he played and what he did.
Barnes is a guy you hate when he's anywhere else, but love when he's on your team. I see Hayward as a 2 anyway, and so I'm not entirely opposed to bringing in Barnes, who is quick enough at his age to stick with most 2 guards IMO. Tough enough to at least harass the ones he can't keep up with. And we need his range as well.

Re: Low level $$ min salary options to fill out our roster
First off I really want us to take it easy in terms of tying up next year's cap space since I think, using AK's max salary space, make a run at Carmelo Anthony, especially if DWill openly "recruits" him. So as far as moves go, I'd go for 1 year min deals, sans Brewer. Guys like Mason Jr. or R. Butler for 3pt shooting and I would really explore the possibility of Arroyo as our vet PG as he's the cheapest PG vet that fits the best with our team and wouldn't mind being 3rd behind DWill and Price.
