I agree the non-basketball criticisms are usually ignored by most teams, not the Jazz. Ostertag was a great big waste of potential because he really didn't like basketball-he liked what basketball provided to him. I don't think we could have done anything to motivate him, but still hated the newspaper criticism. The criticism would have been more palatable coming from his teammates who were always quiet. I was more po'd than anybody when we reacquired him after berating him for years.

it seems both are arguing the same point. tag was lazy-sloan didnt try to fix it. just one party is saying tag and the other party is saying sloan. in each argument though the same points are brought forward to support their own. it's the same argument though.

on a (now) side-note, ante tomic could potentially be the jazz's 3rd 7 footer. so much for starting 6-11 PF's.

To be fair, one side is arguing Tag and I am arguing Tag AND Sloan. Some of these Sloan "yes men" will gargle his balls like mouthwash no matter what. But at the end of the day, we are in year 23 with this guy and we have

-0 NBA titles despite having the top two players at their position all-time for 18 years
-0 NBA Coach of the Year awards (deserved or not)

I'm just trying to show that even the great ones (and I consider Sloan to be a great all-time NBA coach) are not infallible. But the Sloan "balls garglers" like my opponent will disagree no matter what.

That is not the way to win an argument or win friends.

In fairness to Shizzle, I do indeed consider Gerald to be the epitome of a perfect human being, and the greatest coach in the history of sports. All of my points in this argument make it clear that I hold these sentiments to be facts.

Also, I will freely admit that I cannot wait to gargle any part of his body for ten hours straight if given the chance. Shizzles that is, not Sloan's.
