Cleveland has been in talks with Fes.

I really think we need to snatch him up this year as his play will determine his future in the NBA. Jazz should be able to know whether he's worth keeping around after this season.

Fes is a RFA, he will talk to Cleveland, maybe sign. Then the Jazz have time to match.

After we signed Bell and Jefferson two months ago, I immediately put out a note saying we should sign Watson and Etan Thomas. Here's to being right and hoping we sign Thomas too.

I think Watson is going to end up picking up the back up minutes this year. I believe he is just a superior player to Price. Although I like Price.

I understand the worries about a big man, but, once Okur is healthy it wont matter anyway, as we'll have a 3 man rotation of Jefferson, Okur, and Millsap. With AK and Francisco there as necessary. (and most likely Fes will be back unless he gets a stupid offer elsewhere)

At PG on the other hand, we're going to have those 11 minutes every night, all season long, and into the playoffs. So, in my mind I'd much rather have a Watson level PG and a Francisco level C signing. We're going to get a lot more mileage out of that 2nd PG than we would out of a 4th big. (or 5th)

I hear what you're saying. I just don't think Okur is getting back until late in the season. A backup center would get plenty of minutes until then, and still probably stay in the rotation if he's any good at protecting the paint.

Maybe this just isn't the offseason to get another big. We need to see how Millsap and Jefferson work out. We need to see if Okur can return. And maybe the right guys just aren't available this summer. But I'm still convinced we aren't a real title contender until we get someone to block shots and rebound. Let that day come quickly!

Should be a great back-up, very solid signing. Ronnie Price just lost his job unless he shows some major improvements.

Price isn't a PG. Good signing.
