Horrible?

I went to the scrimmage, I missed the first part but it didn't look like much becuase some kids where just getting kicked of the floor for the Jazz players to do there "soccer dance" warm-ups. Was wondering what that was about until I figured they hadn't warmed up yet.

Here is my take on the players. I'll start with Fes. I didn't think he looked horrible at all, it fact I thought he look great. Granted that is great for Fes, I could tell he had less weight and it definitly affected his game. His feet were faster and he was more agile. And he definitly clogged up the middle like everyone seems to want from the Jazz this year.

AK- best player on the floor in my opionion, Hope they don't trade him. He rocked on defense and in fact changed Jefferson and Milsap's game something fierce. Poor Jefferson needs some confidence and AK isn't giving it for him.

Evans, had a nice slam down rebound over...Milsap I think it was, He skied on that rebound and made Milsap look like a PG in the paint. Loved his athletism. I see Evans and Howard looking like a rookie AK. But Evans seems to have more jump, and Howard more shot. Both are lanky and long.

Jefferson: Looked slow, unsure, and didn't like this, wondered if it was becuase he was just a slow big man or didn't know the system well enough yet. He did show he had some nice range from the outside.

Elson also had some nice, unexpected range from the outside. Elson is also more coordinated than I was expecting from a big guy. He is a nice pick-up for the Jazz. I hope that turns into a good passer.

Watson vs Price: Hard to tell it wasn't long enough and they didn't get enough touches for me to evaluate that. Price looked great, had some nice break aways and as always he skies with the ball. Didn't see any PG decision making out there as the same with Watson.

Milsap: He will be fine as the starting PF. Moves well with the ball inside but I think AK will play more PF this year and Milsap gets beat by AK inside. (Put who doesn't against AK) Milsap has a hard time against quick tall type center players.

AK: He has been lifting weights. His shoulders looked bigger and he was a hustler, best player out there. Great on defense. Didn't get many offensive touches, without looking at the stats I don't think he even made more than one outside shot.

Yea, I mostly just want to hear about that boy Hayward. He's trying to buck a long history of failure for white (american) dudes drafted in the lottery.

I'm a believer, but I just want to hear some good news first.

The refs must of been d-leaguers or just some Jazz hands because they were pretty rusty out there too

I didn't see anything of note for Thomson or Nichols...just wasn't long enough.

Sadly, I got confused on when it started and only saw the last 2 minutes.

From what I've heard and seen in the highlights it looks like Millsap is going to have a great year, Evans proves that yet again the Jazz are the best 2nd round drafting team in the NBA, Jefferson has never played on a team where he actually had to move before and needs time to adjust, AK is going to have his best year since D-Will took over the team, Watson looks great in a Jazz uni, CJ is still CJ, Fes is looking better but isn't really producing better, Hayward needs time to develop, Elson is Elson, Raja is Raja and this year is going to be an interesting and perhaps very rocky season.

Personally I'm just excited because for the first time in what...4 years? We don't know where we are going to be at the end of the year. Should be a very interesting and entertaining season.

If the 10,000+ fans didn't prove that this upcoming seasons crowds are going to be back up to top form then I don't know what will....you guys realize that there was probably more people at that scrimmage than there ever was at any point in time for Jefferson in Minny? That's just sad....
