I prefer Jefferson to Boozer overall on this team, but Al's refusal to dunk the ball is pretty pathetic, lingering finger/knuckle injury or not.

Sloanfeld, the comparison isn't boozer vs. jefferson. Its boozer / okur vs. millsap / jefferson. Boozer couldn't play center. Al does. One lineup relegated millsap to the bench and made us start okur, the other allows us to start two players without concrete blocks attached to their feet. Blocks are overrated. Contesting shots and lateral quickness isnt.

Yeap.... Big Al's refusal to put it hard on the hole is almost an Amechiesque conduct

The thing about Jefferson is that he has a lot of improving to do with this team. I don't think he will really peak in their offense for another year or so. This team has a ton of potential, a TON. Much more than they had with Boozer. If Al can put a complete game together (I think he is really the key to their slow starts), this team will be crazy good. He needs to recover from his injury, and I think he will flush it more. Being there live, I was surprised about how small he is. He is not a really big guy like I thought. Wallace was a lot wider. Al needs to lift more weights imo.
Crazy game, fun and frustrating to watch live, but at least it was exciting. Booing TMac was downright nostalgic!

Add Fes to the list of folks that really need to dunk the ball.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Fes has bigger problems than not dunking the ball.

I'm pretty sure it's cuz of the hand injury which I thought was on the palm of his hand, not one of his fingers.....you can brace/wrap/splint a finger can't really do anything to protect your palm...I personally prefer the guy putting up 17 & 8 + 1.5bpg playing thru pain myself who is not having the guy he's guarding go off for a career night all the time....

Re: Detroit Pistons (11-22) @ Utah Jazz (23-11)
I went to the game last night.. wow was that loud at the end of the game sheesh!
Anyway..some notes I saw..
Al Jefferon - does not like to dunk and it's frustrating fans
..I get the hand injury but PUT IT IN SOFT IF YOU HAVE TO, does not do well with his turn around 5 footer..yet he sinks a 10ft 15ft jump shot with ease (basically I'm losing confidence when he does that little jump hoot from 5..6 feet out..)
Fesenko - awesome.. wish we could get him involved more..not sure why he rides the pine so much..
CJ - shot really well.. usually his play frustrates me most watching Jazz games with his shot selection but if they're going in I'm happy...last night I was happy..
Ronnie Price - That guy has some serious energy/jumping ability..played well.
Deron - was looking to pass like the entire game...he didn't look that interested in this game..but played well.
Raja - hit 3's yay! (thank goodness..I cringed when he shot it..) Although one of his 3's earlier in the game he had his foot clearly on the line and they counted it as a 3.. I'm not sure what NBA refs see, especially when I'm still a 100ft. away and I can see it. That's NBA officiating I guess (NBA sucks..). He got burned more than a few times..I think he crowds his defender too much which is good to put pressure on but wow some times he is chasing his defender around...
There was a bunch of fouls that could have gone the pistons way honestly....again NBA officiating sucks.
Ok I know that was a lame scouting report but fun game. Never sat in the lower bowl before..much much better view! The Jazz bear is awesome, great entertainer
It was a awesome to see and hear so much hate for T-mac. Can't stand that guy either!

lol. Fans thought Boozer was too soft inside, we get Al and he is soft inside too. Al does provide some shot blocking, but less scoring and rebounding. I don't really feel we are better or worse with Al, just kind of the same. Not a bad thing.

That 3 from Raja at the end of the game was clearly a 2, and I was in row 19 of the upper bowl and saw it. I thought for sure they would review it and change the call, but who knows why they didn't. I was just glad to see some calls go the Jazz way.
