A New Day in Zion

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Fri Feb 11, 2011 5:01 pm

I woke up this morning in the cold crisp snowy Montana air and realized it was a new day in Zion, Utah I mean. After Being a Utah Basketball follower and admirer for over 45 years, (University Of Utah) Utah Stars, and the Utah Jazz, a change has wafted in. There is a new coach in town, Tyrone Corbin. My hopes and excitement for the not only the basketball team, but for the city of Salt Lake have been realized. Change is an important concept for people to embrace And it is a difficult one. I guess I left because the change wasn't coming fast enough. In one swoop, with Jerry Sloan finding he needed sanity in his life, the Utah jazz, the city of Salt Lake , and the state of Utah will go through glorious change.
I Hope we all work hard at limiting the negative while the change blowing through is enacted into place.
It is an exciting time!
for the first time in 25 years of jazz basketball, we have no idea what the outcome will be.

When it all boils down to it we've been lucky as hell to be Jazz fans. Maybe we finally get to experience a little bit what fans of other teams have to now, but I'm confident we will be contending again soon enough.

Well with the attitude of some here towards Sloan not winning a championship, I wonder how long until we get signatures popping up that say "fire Corbin".

No, I want to find someone completely innocent and not in control of the situation.... Fire Briggs!

Soon enough, I'm afraid. If we see more than a couple of coaches this decade, I'd expect a once proud franchise to sink into Clippers/Wolves/Raptors territory.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

As I said at the beginning of the thread. It is hard to accept change. We can't even keep the negativity out for one day!
