Melo to Knicks is official

This guy never really got a knock on him like T-Bag did for never being able to lead his team out of the first round. It was Billups who made that team tougher and better and he was the team changer that got that team to the WCF. Although Melo did had a good series last season, his teammates let him down. He won't escape any criticism in New York, but right now they're just happy to not suck anymore. I can't stand that this is becoming such a league of buddies.

And as far as Denver is concerned, look for them to drop out of the playoff race.

Denver will still make the playoffs. They didn't take back scrubs in return. Felton has established himself as one of the league's best PG's this season. Karl will only make him better because he's a far better coach than D'Antoni. Wilson Chandler and Gallinari are also studs. Denver is still a playoff team, and in a couple years they have the chance to be pretty damn good.

New York gave up too much for him but I guess they had to do whatever they had to do to get him.

LOL...why did Minny get involve? Why would they want Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph?

Never mind...I think New York had to unload Curry to get Melo and make the trade work.

Anyway we could get Gallinari? Heard he probably will be dealt. We could use his shooting

Well if there was any desire hidden at all in the dark chambers of Deron's mind to play in New York, I think this would essentially cancel that out. Deron needs the ball in his hands.

Does this make Denver better or worse? If they keep the players they certainly get deeper, but now rumours are that the Nuggets are going to flip Galo somewhere else.......

This trade deadline is going to be interesting.......

I think it makes them worse this year but they've got a lot of draft picks to rebuild with, and I bet they're looking to get some more in a Gallo trade.

Knicks' fans will be watching the result of such a gamble...
Billups will have to be the Knicks glue right now... Stoudemire, Anthony just don't have the mindset or the character to be real team leaders...

Awful trade for the Knicks. They gave up way, way too much. Denver robs them blind. And if I were them, I wouldn't necessarily be trying to flip any of the incoming guys. I don't think they need 5 more draft picks -- just let Galo, Masgov, etc. develop.

I agree with this being a bad deal for the Knicks...... Particularly basically flipping Felton for Billups...... Billups will be done in 2 years, and now the Knicks won't have the money to sign a free agent in 2012, and they don't have assets to make a trade...... Thank you, New York......

Clippers are supposedly willing to trade Minny's first round pick for Gallo. I think it's top ten protected this year and unprotected next year.

While watching the Nuggets Celtics game I learned this. Don't know how I missed it.
