Re: Utah Jazz @ Minnesota TWolves 6PM MST
The Jazz maybe the worst team in the league right now with the worst coach. We are at least in the bottom 5 teams. The only players worth keeping on this roster are Hayward and Favors. I dont think we see the playoffs again for at least 3 years. Corbin gets fired before the Jazz make the playoffs again.
I see why Dwill was so frustrated with this team and management letting Brewer, Matthews, and Korver leave. Those three guys werent the best players but you never questioned their effort.
Im embarrassed by the effort of this bunch of slugs. The wrong coach and the wrong players makes us a lottery team for several years!

With a couple of tweaks the jazz could have really gone somewhere
This organization f'ed up way too much, Sloan got tired of this team, and now he's gone. The Jazz are going to be bad for a LONG time, and I fully expect the Miller's to sell this team. I don't even care at this stage.
Can you say "Las Vegas Jazz"?
Makes me laugh when people say the Jazz are going to leave Utah now after they lose a game. I don't like to attack other people, but get a clue. Jazz have missed the playoffs maybe one time in the last 23 years. They have a few bad seasons and now they are leaving Utah. Sigh, bandwagon fans or something.
Jazz are one of 10 teams that have 10,000 or more season ticket holders. They sellout along with other top teams that sellout. They aren't going anywhere. Enough with these statements jeez.

I don't get how people can give up on a team and a coach in less than 20 games. I really don't, it baffles me.

Why Las Vegas? That's a smaller market.

This team isn't as bad as it played tonight (it was all an effort issue, in my view), but no, we surely ain't good. There's some obvious things to be addressed. I don't know that I agree with you about how bleak the future is, though.

Re: Utah Jazz @ Minnesota TWolves 6PM MST
This team is not gonna break out of mediocrity by keeping harris / millsap / jefferson. We need draft picks to find defensive / wing support and a playmaking guard.
This team needs two top 5 picks to compete seriously. We just need to trade jefferson and/or paul to be a bottom feeder for two years playing favors and hayward a bunch and piling draft picks. Sure, no one pick is likely to land a star, but you just have to play the odds with a bunch of picks instead of taking the sure thing we have in our current players.
We have a bunch of role players (except al) for a championship team, but you have to build around a core instead of trying to add that last star to a completed product. It's easier to find hustle, hard working players like Paul, or a serviceable point like harris later on. If we don't tank, our ceiling is 35-40 wins and early playoff exits if we keep this core paul / big al / favors / harris. Just suck now, get value for our role players and make our draft pick top 10. Mixing veterans like AK and young players just **** up a team chemistry, with a mix of vets who don't care if they're not contending and rookies not getting minutes. The mix of rebuilding / holdovers from the last finished product is the worst option.
But that assumes your end goal isn't just getting to the playoffs.

I honestly just hope Houston passes us
(shouldn't be hard) and we end up with the 12th pick instead of the 13th or 14th. At least a 6 pick and a 12th pick ought to get us some talent.

I think that's likely, our remaining schedule looks harder than theirs, we'll likely go 1-7 (or 0-8) in April without even trying to tank.

Yes, but was hoping for a fiery coach someone that would have these guys runing up and down the court playing with energy. Instead, Corbin has surprised looking to be a Sloan shadow keeping the same lineups and system. For a young guy, he lacks energey on the sideline. Smetimes teams, like the Jazz, that lack huslters need a guy pushing them. A yeller is necessary for these slugs. Corbin could be a good head coach someday but he seems quite overwhelmed right now.
Hire Van Gundy out of the Television booth bc at least we will hustle on defense.
