Korver's not undersized and he plays more defense than I've seen Jimmer play.

In this draft class Jimmer at 12 isn't all that bad. I will go out on a branch here and say he will probably be gone before 12. That's how bad this draft is for guys that can actually shoot.
One FACT that is being left out of the argument is the need for somebody that can make a stinking outside shot.
How many games did we loose because we didn't have any shooters?
I really like the way Hayward came on late in the year, but it was to little to late.
Think back to John Stockton, he wasn't all that gifted but he managed to play decent D.
If the Jimmer wraps his mind around playing D I believe he could do as well as Stockton.
It would require a commitment and some great coaching.
I would be OK if they take him at 12.

Shooting is a major concern for this team that everyone can agree with... until you start talking about drafting Jimmer...

Well, drafting a guy that'll play 10-14 minutes probably isn't going to address any huge need, no matter how good he is.

Not sure he could beat out Watson anyway. So, maybe 10-14 is wildly optimistic.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Well, IMO, thinking that you are going to get anything more than a low bench player out of the 12th pick this year, with this terrible draft, is dreaming. But hey, who knows.

If the Utah Jazz take Jimmer at 12 the whole state of Utah is going to fill up Energy Solutions.
it would be great for the people of the state of Utah but not for the Utah Jazz team itself. All Jimmer Fredette can do at this point is prove his doubters wrong, me included, and earn a solid spot on an NBA roster. If the ex-BYU guard can take on his game on to the pro level the whole basketball world will be shocked. If not nobody will be surprised.

Return to Utah Jazz
