Jefferson for Ellis and 2012 G.S. Pick?

Ellis scored about 23 a game.....he is really good.

Trading Jefferson would leave a big hole.....but he could be replaced.

No thank you. I like the way the front court is set up. What would you do with Harris?

I feel the OP must created this thread in jest. Jefferson is not easily replaced, but a high volume shooter with attitude problems is. And we already have GS's 2012 first round pick.

GS will ask for way more than just jefferson. He's a fan favorite and one of the top SG's in the league.

Do Millsap for Curry and you have a deal.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

ya i wish,

if you want curry, it'll probably cost you guys favors and another pick. He's their future PG.

i can see a monta for favors straight up, but i know uth values favors alot more than that.

if uth wants ellis, a Jefferson and miles package would probably work.

i was in the bay for a while and Monta's like the prodical son to their fans.

I don't get all the love that Curry gets on this or any board. The guy is undersized for his true position of SG, and he is not a real PG. He lacks real athleticism which makes him a poor defender against other point guards and especially against bigger, taller and more athletic SG's, and his only redeeming attribute is his shooting and scoring which is inflated in the offense GS runs, which is a guard oriented fast paced offense.

I have no interest in a player whose greatest strengths are much to do (not all, he is a good player) about the offense he plays in.

Take the Colorado Rockies for example: Imagine if they brought the fences in 20 feet. That is what the GSW offensive scheme is to a player like Curry. Would you go after a Rockie player who had 40 homers in a season for Colorado where 32 were hit at home and 8 on the road and really think he would do the same elsewhere and hit 40 for the season? No. Curry on another team is an average PG, and a below average shooting guard. He would be great off the bench, like we have seen with Millsap. Millsap is a beast of a 6th man, and just an average to below average player at the PF when you factor in everything (offense and defense) which you have to when your a GM.

That being said I would trade CJ and our 12 pick for him. GSW wouldn't but they would be giving up a SG who could score 20 a game in their system in CJ. They overvalue Curry and Monta, as do many on this board.

If I am looking for pop off the bench I would go for Reggie Williams. He can light it up from 3 and comes with a much lower price tag. The new CBA will put a high premium on value, and guys like A. Morrow (of NJ formerly of GSW) and Williams will play for less money because they came in as either undrafted or low picks.

Lottery picks tend to get more money in their second contracts because expectations are still high for them to continue to live up to potential that may not really be there.

I wouldn't do a Ellis for Jefferson no matter what. Millsap yes, but Jefferson, NO!!. Jefferson is not easy to replace and will do even better after a yr in this system. CRAZY!!!!

outside of uth, i believe he has more hype than favors. and his true position is PG. he's going to be one of the top PG's in the league if he is coached right.

don't believe me post a favors for curry straight up on GS board and see the reaction
