Kanter Declines Pre-Draft Interviews With Jazz, Raptors, Buc

Post#1 » by finnegan » Fri May 20, 2011 10:25 pm

Enes Kanter reportedly refused to participate in interviews with the Utah Jazz, Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks. The Jazz hold the No. 3 and No. 12 picks in the draft, the Raptors are the No. 5 pick and the Bucks are the No. 10 selection.

This early in the process, refusing to interview with teams is highly unusual. The only explanations: Kanter doesn't want to play for those teams or he does want to play for someone else.

On Thursday, CSNWashington.com reported that Kanter's preference was the Washington Wizards, who hold the No. 6 pick.

This has already been posted in four different threads and the response that he has already committed to spend the next day with a private workout and interview.

Hell with him Favors is just 19 and played just like 20 games for us. He was only a part time starter, give him some time and he will be a kick ass center for us. Jefferson can definitely be our PF and we got Millsap. What's the need for another big. Hopefully we can trade for Williams or even better he drops to us. :-D

If Kanter panned out he could be better than Jefferson for us. Hayward, Favors and Kanter is a sexy line-up defensively and offensively.

Jazz apparently already have him scheduled for a big workout/interview on June 2. He's still in the mix.

No need to take it personally dude. I loved big als work ethic. But I also think Kanter could be better. Big al has never in his career shown the ability to be a 2nd option on a good team, only the first option on a bad team a la bosh. I also have questions about his rebounding and defensive abilities. Not to knock his hustle, but it's just like my opinion.... man.

It appears that the news report was 100% wrong.

That's a relief. I'm sure he goes #1, the Jazz should be working out Irving now.
