You can say all those things about Amar''e as well. Millsap is one of the most versatile and efficient scorers in the NBA.

Sure we all love the guy but he isn't as good or as important to this team as most of you think he is.

Again, if he can't accept a sixth man role coming off of the bench then he needs to be moved and it will be better sooner rather than later since his value will never be higher.

Millsap is actually an extremely consistent scoring option, as he has added new elements to his arsenal every year to effectively score on all types of defenders. The Jazz defensive scheme and personnel who run it make his defensive stats misleading. Watch the way he uses his feet to stay in front of smaller guys and his body against bigger guys. Sap is a gritty defender, in no way comparable to the turn style which was Boozer, though the stats might lead one to believe that is the case. He is not the team's best defender, but he is not the liability some of you are saying he is.

The thing about Millsap is that he's not going to go Charlie Sheen on the team if they move him to the bench. He might get grumpy for a while, but his tenure has shown that he has the temperament to handle it. He is a team player, and he's smart enough to realize that he could excel as a sixth man and benefit the Jazz.

I think keeping him is important going forward.

I would only move Sap to bring in a marquee type player. His contract is very affordable for what he brings to the table. He does need to come off the bench though as the AJ/Favors combo is what we need to do next year.

Also, with certain matchups, he could play the 3 with AJ/Favors, which would be a nice option to control the boards and hit the offensive glass.

Honestly, we should try moving Millsap for OJ Mayo if we can.

In interviews i've seen with Millsap he didn't seem thrilled about playing SF. He's getting abused as a PF and could give him injury issues in the future having to deal with bigger, stronger players. If we trade Millsap we need to get a legit starting shooting guard or small forward.

I only see two options with Milsap. We've tried rolling with him at the PF and he's just not super effective there. He's still undersized no matter how well he's playing.

You either trade him or make him come off the bench in a 6th man role.
That's the only thing I see out of him. Especially if we end up with Williams (who would be a better option at SF imo)
