Look at what wins NBA TITLES. Veterans Ainge went out and got two vets look at the vets Miami had on its team when they beat Dallas the first time.

I could see them being in contention for several years, but not for 3-4 years, but I am excited to see this group grow together. The future is definitely brighter than it was this time last year.

As in contention what does that mean win 50 games every year and a early playoff loss? You need a true Super Star to win it all. I don't think this team has one. Unless we tank it next and win the lottery with OUR pick we wont be drafting one next year. KOC cant sign a Super Star via free agency and he sure the hell wont go trade for a Kevin Durrant (he may not win one for 10 year to come), Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, King James, Dirk type player who can win it all. This isnt the NFL guys where your team is going to get lucky and win the Super Bowl. You need a core group of vets and/or a true super star to win a NBA championship in the NBA.

There was one reason Deshawn Stevenson was on the court (maybe even on the Mavs team)so much in the finals its because he had gone up against James in the Eastern Confrence playoffs in years past and knew how to play him how to rattle him get in his head take him out of his game in the 4th quarter when it mattered most.
