Sign and trade AK???

Post#1 » by Getjazz » Mon Nov 28, 2011 8:02 pm

Ak has come out and said that he is going to stay in Russia until either the Jazz, NJ, or either LA team signs him. Is there any one on any of those teams that the Jazz would want in a sign and trade? Just a thought...

What could we get?

Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, Deron Williams, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol are off the table for sure. Who else that they have do we want bad enough and are they willing to trade for AK?

We should sign him for MLE money for about 3 years. Hayward and Burks are the future at the 2/3 though.

No point doing a sign and trade when they can just sign him outright. Plus AK has denied that rumor.

NJ is trying to shed salary, not add it.
Lakers have nothing to offer and don't really need him.
Clippers could use him, but, have little to offer, maybe Bledsoe for AK?
Jazz would like him, but, not more than a 2 year deal.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I think the Lakers would love to have him and he would fit in well with that team. I think he's too old to be a good fit for the Clippers.

I think AK ends up in either a Laker or a Jazz uniform.

I would hate to see the Lakers get another long player in their front court. If the Lakers dont have the room to sign him maybe the Jazz could sign and trade him for a bad contract like Luke Walton and a #1 pick...I just hate improving the Laker team and I think AK-47 would do that.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Right! Because the Jazz can always use a bad contract and a late 1st round pick! :-?
