Re: Al Jefferson
Jefferson is only 26. He's got a lot left in the tank.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Big Al is going to surprise everybody this year.
I expect him to have a tremendous season.

Re: Al Jefferson
How is the rotation going to work? You guys got 4 starting caliber bigs... 2 of them seem like centrepieces for the future..?

The problem is three of those guys have pretty big question marks:
Memo: is he NBA-healthy and can he stay that way?
Favors: can he play 35 minutes a night without fouling out? Can he play center?
Kanter: can he play 20 minutes a night in the NBA right now? Is he a center?
If the Jazz get positive answers to those questions in the first couple months then I think you'll definitely see Jefferson on the trading block.

I wasn't even thinking about Memo... what about MIllsap? Is he really going to be SF for you guys?

Re: Al Jefferson
You can't turn the positions completely over to our young big men until they show they are ready to handle it. Kanter has never even played a game yet and Favors is improving but hasn't established himself as ready for FT minutes as of the end of last season.
Give them time. In the meantime Al can be a solid contributor.

There's like one top 3 pick in the last 20 years who got less than 800 minutes in his first year (Darko), Kanter needs to get at least that amount (that's only Kwame/Thabeet minutes as well and Thabeet was competing with Randolph and Gasol).

Re: Al Jefferson
Al Jefferson for Rodney Stuckey (S&T)
Stuckey will play his natural position at SG
We get cap space and playing time for our younger bigs.........

Re: Al Jefferson
Jefferson is more valuable than Stuckey. I'd rather keep him.

Re: Al Jefferson
Al Jefferson would look good in a OKC uni. I would love to have him over, for some post scoring which were lacking right now. But I don't want to give up my core for him.

Yeah. I would love Westbrook, but I know Jefferson isn't enough to get him. What if it was Jefferson and the GS first?

Is James Harden part of your core?

Hey I'm willing to give up Eric Maynor or Ibaka/picks. But no to WB/KD/Harden

I would give Jefferson and then some for Ibaka, but I value good defenders higher than most.
