No Playoffs This Year??? Just Relax..

Post#1 » by jazzrock » Wed Dec 28, 2011 6:09 am

3 games in 3 nights means nothing for NBA players. These guys are among the most athletic individuals in the world. When you work out for a living, you can handle three games in three nights. Fact is, we are losing to a better team tonight. This doesnt surprise me one bit. And losing to the better team will happen A LOT this year.

We have a new team. Only two guys (CJ/SAP) were on this team two years ago. We have five people with less than two years experience. We essentially have a brand new coach. And then add to it that we had just over two weeks to prepare for the season. Yeah, if you thought we were gonna win this game, that is true homerism.

The playoffs are a long long way off for us. We dont need to fire Corbin. We dont need to trade half our team. We dont need to try and win now. Its gonna take time. It always takes time when you build through the draft (IE OKC). Just relax, lose the fire Corbin banners, and realize we have got some young studs that will make something of our team in future years. Just not this year, and thats ok.

I had no expectations of making the playoffs. I did hope we wouldn't be so bad that we would have broken the franchise record for fewest points in a regular season game if the Lakers hadn't stopped giving a damn.

Did you even watch the game? We might have the worst team in the history of the universe

There's a lot of talent on the team. My concern is with the coaching staff. If they can't figure out a way to use the talent, they'll lose the team. That can lead to a very unproductive lottery season.

Jazz need to have a productive lottery season.

Yeah, I think this year we will be one of the worst teams.

I mean look at Kevin Durants first two seasons. He went 20-62 in his rookie season, then 23-59 in his 2nd season.

It just takes young guys a while to learn to win and lets face it, Millsap, Jefferson, Bell, & Harris have already proven that they don't lead to wins.

I am mad at Corbin for some stuff, but really I do need to give it all time. He gave 18 minutes to Favors tonight, SMH.

Whatever. As the season goes, I hope Favors gets to 35 along with Hayward.

Millsap has proved he can be a winning player in my book, just not as the 1st or 2nd option. The rest can take a hike onto the Bucks or Raptors and stink it up there for all I care.

I'm relaxed, still it's hard to wait 8 months since last game (april) and watch that mess.
I'm not upset by the loss... it's because it's a bad loss and I'm expecting another one this night.

I agree, I never expected the playoffs this year. Although more effort would be nice along with some more playing time for the youngsters. I think we are going to be around the 20 win mark.
For a new coach Corbin has had everythng stacked against him. I dont agree with some of his choices but I will give him time to figure it out.

I hope we don't make the playoffs...... You don't rebuild and become a real championship contender by being a 40 win team.......

You suck for a year or two and rebuild through the Draft, ie Spurs with Duncan, OKC with Durant and Westbrook, Cleveland with LeBron.......

I agree wholeheartedly with people about our Coaching staff....... Notwithstanding my sig I do not want to see Corbin fired (yet)...... However, he really needs to show that he's capable of developing our youngsters......
