I was not very optimistic about this season and I thought the team should be looking to get another high draft pick, but the start of this season has shown something a little alarming to me: The veterans on this team are too similar and don't seem like they would be good mentors. Look at the veterans on the team: Millsap, Harris (Ball dominant scorer), Al (ball dominant scorer), Howard (ball dominant scorer), Bell, Watson, CJ (random chucker). There's too many guys who need the ball on this team.
This affects both winning right now and development for the future. In the starting lineup, it's clear right away that the Jazz are playing 4-5 because Bell is scared too do anything on offense. But then since Harris and Al aren't very effective with the ball, it might be 3-5 depending on who has the ball. The spacing is terrible and destroys the team's offense and kills good chances at winning. Not only that, it hurts the young guys a lot. With spacing as bad as the Jazz have had it, running Pick-and-roll is very difficult. Hayward-Favors PnR might work very well with better spacing, but with two guys hanging out in the paint to go along with two guys defending that pick-and-roll? Not very workable. Young big men mostly score on pick-and-roll and offensive rebounding and the horrible spacing, along with Harris' abysmal playmaking, has made it hard to run those plays.
However, this isn't the only issue. Burks is a very talented player who is likely already better than Bell, but he's an isolation scorer and throwing a third ball dominant player out there with Harris and Al would lead to even worse spacing and offense. And, of course, every possession that Al uses is a possession that the young guys aren't using.
I also wish the team had a defensive veteran big man who could teach Favors and Kanter tricks and when and how to rotate on defense. Hopefully KO'C makes some moves to help out spacing, passing, and the ability for the young guys to get minutes.

Well, 12, this is what Corbin has been saying. These guys have to figure out how they are going to play together as a TEAM. They have to blend their styles together in order to win.
If that doesn't start working soon KOC has said he is going to trade every one on the team, fire Corbin and the entire coaching staff and start over.
