Trade for Howard

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Thu Dec 29, 2011 5:18 am

Why not? Trade for Dwight Howard so we could have one good year while young guys develop.

Jefferson, Millsap, Miles, Harris and GSW pick for Nelson, Turkolou, and Howard

We enjoy Howard for one year and probably make the playoffs and get rid of our dead weight in Jefferson, Miles, and Harris. We then try to talk Howard into staying with the Jazz by trying to talk DWill into coming here.

Likely we dont talk him into staying thus trade becomes Turkolou and Nelson for Millsap and GSW pick. We benefit by getting rid of Jefferson and Harris. GSW pick hard to lose in the trade but Orlando doesnt do it without it.

Jazz lineup: (2011-2012 lineup)

PG Nelson Watson Tinsley
SG Hayward Burks Bell
C Howard Kanter
PF Favors Evans
SF Turkolou Howard

Orlando wants Vets for Howard and they might like Jefferson and Harris plus Millsap is solid and Miles expiring but get bonus in GSW pick plus get rid of Turkolous contract
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Maybe first lets trade for Rondo, maybe he will bring something positive to that team, he would involve our bigs etc.

After we've traded for Rondo and Dwight, let's think about getting LeBron and/or Wade. We're gonna need some wings.

nah lets go for durant cuz we still need a shooter :D, but i thin that Rondo option is quite possible, C's sucks, they will try to do something and we got some assets.

LOL but I think it is feasible to trade for a leader of the team....maybe Rondo would be a good idea as Celtics off to bad start and old maybe they would want to get younger and we need Rondo real bad.

Harris and GSW pick rights and Jazz pick rights for Rondo
(giving up alot but we dont need more young talent)

I'm not as down on Devin Harris as some, but I don't think the Celtics would return our call if we offered that.

The bigs actually have to move on offense to be involved. I see a lot of standing around and horrible screens.

horrible screens.

That's an important concern that doesn't get talked about much. Our screens are horrible -- veterans and youth alike. Some of them (Favors come to mind) just haven't figured out how to set themselves yet, but others (AJ comes to mind) seem to just be lazy about it.

Jefferson is god awful at setting screens. Our guards have been setting better screens than our bigs lately. I like Kanter's screening though, he's so damn wide that opposing teams are going to have a hell of time fighting through them. He could be a really good pick and roll/ pick and pop player in the future.
