He didn't have a good look off of that curl, there were two defenders within five feet (Illyasova and Delfino?) and no one to dump the ball off in the post (unless you want to count Raja Bell). I think the play before that is frustrating, though (not contesting Drew Gooden - at least put a hand up!).

Really?

You don't get any more open than that. By the time Delfino would have realized what happened, he would have been getting dunked on and Hayward would have had an And1. That was an awful miss by Al.

AL Jefferson
If Al didn't think he could get the pass to Gordon then I'm fine with him not attempting it, so long as he doesn't settle for a 20-foot jumper instead.
Following the missed pass, I thought that play was one of Al's best from that game. He gave the ball up to a guard, slipped the pick and got an easy layup going toward the hoop. Those are rare things for him. He should do them more often.

Big Al is trying to improve along with everyone else on the team. I greatly appreciate the effort this team is giving the Jazz. Reflects well on Corbin as well.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

This pretty much sums it up. If Jefferson was unsure of the pass he very well could have made a bad one that resulted in a turnover. Passing isn't one of Jefferson's strong points but he's making better passes than he did last year. Not out of double or triple teams, unfortunately, but overall he's improving.

He takes too long to set up to draw an effective double team to set up an also effective pass.

I don't think Big Al will ever be good at backing people down, which he is always trying to do; he usually gets a good shot off, but I think he could also be effective if he was a willing passer, that could go from the high post to the low post, even though he's obviously not Tim Duncan he needs to rely on fundementals which he either doesn't do, or is ignorant of.

Re: AL Jefferson
I really think that he is improving, though. If he can become a decent passer out of the double team by the end of the season I think we can call it a success for his development. He improved his defense immensely, he actually boxes out now (really well) so I don't see why this couldn't be the next step.

Re: AL Jefferson
Do u sometimes think he is better getting a shot off with a double team?? He is so susceptible to a weak side defender though, esp with his lack of passing.
