Fortunately for the Jazz...minus Curry, GSW needed Ellis to do too much. Utah clogged up the inside well...and that REALLY bailed out Raja because if Monta has more space ....he can lose Raja.
With Curry...or even if Wright was hot....the Jazz can't cover the perimeter and clog the middle.

I'd say Corbin did rather well with what he has. None of the Jazz bigs really is yet seen as a big plus on D...but while none was exceptional, overall the Jazz defended the inside better than expected,as a group, and a lot of that is a credit to Corbin.

It was a close game and frankly...both teams looked a tad ragged. Both really could have used a normal camp/pre-season to get the players and new coaches in synch.

I would not give Raja too much credit here...Monta ended up with an All Star stat sheet. Raja was just the best option to contain a guy nobody else could contain. Utah ought to give credit to guys like Millsap etc. for making GSW need to be too perimeter.
CENSORED... No comment.

That was a fun game to watch last night...

Some thoughts:

I've been anti-bell for quite a while but it was nice to see the Jazz, first play of the game - Bell hits 2. I hope he gets his shot back because defense he's good just he's a liability on offense...unless he hits his shots which he did yesterday. :D As long as he can shoot a WIDE OPEN shot I'm fine with him starting (even over burks who can get out of control like last night). So let's hope his shot is back! 8-)

 Freaking CJ..our all star wannabe drove me nuts though. Chucking 3's and fouling at half court. He still thinks he's Korver for some reason..

Good win
