Only partially joking on Al...

On a serious note: I hope the trifecta of dance-off humiliation, humiliating pink backpacks, and humiliating nickname doesn't affect or alienate Kanter.

This works if he is from Istanbul... Anyone know? I like it

Yes, he grew up in Istanbul. Was born in Zurich, but Istanbul is his hometown.

As it writes in SLC newspaper, his nickname is janissary now. As u know, it was kind of soldier in Ottoman Emperior. They were attacking the rival till the last blood and made them scared. So, Enes JANISSARY Kanter is attacking the rim, collectin rebounds and bringing the hustle and full of energy.

Thank you, Illyasova. I can see the meaning and point to Janissary. But in practical terms Kanter's nickname much be something Big Al can pronounce, and perhaps even spell. That constraint limits most nicknames to three or fewer letters, unless it's common usage. Thus the names Big Turk and Undertaker. Al probably can't spell undertaker, but he can say it.

Of course there is always the "yo doe" component but I think both of those nicknames fit under those criteria also.

This is my favorite, fwiw. Has a ring and is a nice play on words.

And there is nothing more frustrating in NBA basketball than when you're getting absolutely hammered on the boards, and long term that is where Enes' trademark is likely to be.

But I doubt it catches on.

Not a fan with anything with "Turk" in it. Reminds me of Hedo.

The undertaker for me.

if you call enes deviled eggs and the jazz suck, can't be sure if it's the devils fault or the eggs though.

Isn't urenes something other than your owned **** that blows fire with a fart and a light at its best, or is this another lame attempt to just pollute the air and hope people laugh?

conflating the fact that urenes is vacant and open for business is confusing your desire to be an **** with the belief that ur joke is money, jk.

Harpring finally used Enes The Menace in the last game.

I think it's only a matter of time before this takes over completely.

Yes, I think Harpring said "Big Turkey" after Enes slam-dunked. Then he added "Enes the menace". He is reading these forums I suppose.
