I like PK when he is serious. When he is on... he is on and really smart about it. He has lots of good sources and is credible about being a journalist... Unfortunately he is rarely taking things serious on the radio and is just wanting to stir the pot.

Agree with this. On those occasions where he calls in to the afternoon show he seems like a completely different person than the crazy, stupid ADHD guy you hear in the morning.

Seems nice enough, my guess is he's grown up quite a bit since he's joined the radio show.

Well that isn't difficult to do when you were as immature as he was.

PK is very annoying to me, he tries putting on this clown act that just isn't funny. I agree with the poster that said he's much better when he's serious when he calls into Bolerjack, Locke, Garrard.

I know this is going to ruffle feathers, but I'm meh about Checketts, it means more RSL which I'm not interested in to be honest.

I PRAY that this means Bolerjack is off the show too. Boler is fine for play by play and a few minutes of sports highlights. Him and Scotty together = the same 3 minutes of analysis over and over again for 3 hours. I like Locke, at least he really tries to analyze things and has good experts on for the non-numbers side of things.

I wondered how long Locke was going to be able to keep doing both is radio show AND the announcing. With his travel with the team for all the games in a hurry this year I don't see when he has time to get show material ready. This should free him up a bit while he can still make appearances to give his analysis and numbers but just won't have 3 hours to fill every time.

If Checketts means more RSL talk I'm ok with that too!

I have had a few (professional) oppertunities to deal with Spence before he started doing radio. He was always polite and curtious. He is a cancer survivor that has not talked about it that much. As for him on the radio RSL talk is great, However I think that being on AM700 has kept him from being neutral with the universities in Utah.

I don't, KFAN isn't a soccer station anyways, they've never emphasized RSL and I don't think they really intend on doing so. ESPN700 is the soccer station.

Not saying they have to turn into a soccer station. But occasional updates is great for me since I have interest in both. I like sportscasters that can speak intelligently to more than just basketball and football. Just my preference.

Yeah, that's one reason I liked ESPN 700: they talked about a lot of different sports, didn't dwell too long on the Jazz or BYU football, and gave a lot of airtime to RSL. They're the only local station that acknowledges that soccer exists.

Soccer is boring. Talking soccer is more boring. I like football, but even football talk bores me (at least our local "talent" talking football). Give me a 100% basketball station. I'll listen to that.
