It is truly beyond comprehension why anyone in the front office wouldn't think trading the veterans (maybe not paul, but whatever) and going young is in this teams best interest over any period of time longer than the next 3 months.

Glad to see our young 4 make a run with Earl at least.
No doubt in my mind Burks is gonna be a 20PPG guy in this league.

Embarrassing loss which surpised me after yesterday's great effort. It is clear Burks needs to play over both Howard and Miles.
Trade away players now to let the young guys play. Jazz wasting minutes that should go to Kanter, Favors, Hayward, and Burks.
I also thought Corbin mismanaged the game as well. Evans should have been brought in for energy but never saw the floor. When guys are seriously doggy it like Millsap and others were than you need to change the lineup right away.
Got to go young and get rid of these inconsistent lazy vets that dont give effort on a daily basis. Howard must be smoking weed again bc he has been aweful and Miles is simply stupid.

Yeah. Kanter doesn't get touches, mostly put backs. I'm with that though. Kanter for now is too raw offensively. He brings the ball way too low, he lacks quickness, and so on.. It'll come to him, he's 19. No turnovers is a nice stat for him.

He missed FTs, that is bad, and he loves to take rebounds of his missed shots. This is both good and bad. And his rebounds and defence seems good also.
Kanter at least shows that veterans should move, and Favours Kanter can replace them, win two matches more, two matches less, does not mean anything, none thinks that Utah can be champion this year, am I right?

If the Jazz are in win-now mode, then why are all the superior players on the bench?

I agree with you! Jazz need to decide asap either its win now mode or young guys play mode. Originally I was in favor of playoff experience for our young guys but after todays embarrassing loss lets give the minutes to the young guys and trade away the Vets.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Because at least for this match, the second unit worked better. But the question is if Jazz should be in win-now mode and how can you be in win-now mode when you are unable to beat Hornets?
Move the veterans, and don't choose a mode, but see how the youngs are doing. This should be the mode, if this is a mode.

The rebounding is great but 42% FG on garbage buckets and wide open shots plus 2 missed free throws is really bad no matter who it is.
With that said, its not as bad as going 1 for 8 while making the most stupid bone headed plays imaginable. I seriously think an experiment was done on CJ's brain at birth that went horrible wrong. I mean at least Kanter is 19 y/o, what is Cj's excuse?
BRING JAMAAL FRANKLIN TO UTAH!!!!!

I want the Jazz to play the young players a great deal, but I don't think either Favors or Burks will contribute many wins to the Jazz as they are right now.

On starting a back-to-back-to-back:
This is our first back-to-back-to-back and this is a good win for us. We’re going to need all the confidence and momentum we can get, especially for that third game. Tomorrow is going to be a little easier than the third (game), and if we can keep our confidence level up and continue to play basketball like we did tonight, we’ll be all right.”
P. MILLSAP #24 F 22:13 mins. 2-9 FG, -16 (+,-), 3o/2d 5 TR, 1 Ast, 2 PF, 2 Stl, 2 TO, 0 Blks, 2 BA, 4 Pts.
I'm sorry but he can't be a leader of this team and do this. I believe he should be benched in favor of Favors, limit his minutes so he can consistently play at, at least, an acceptable level.
Also, it's either Bell or Howard. Not both. Right now Bell is playing well (even I must admit it), so Howard should not play before Burks. If Raja sucks, then put Howard in his place. It should be one or the other, but not both.

Siempre con mi isla del encanto!!

The Jazz are not going to make the playoffs...... We've had a very favorable opening schedule and we're already outside the top 8 (even if just by half a game)......
The quicker Corbin and O'Connor realize this and turn the team over to the young guns the better off this franchise will be......

I had a feeling this might happen, these guys just didn't take the game seriously.

This. We're simply not good enough to justify holding the youngsters' development back to "win now." Is scrapping for an eighth seed we're unlikely to get worth keeping Burks out of the rotation and limiting Favors and Kanter to fifteen minutes a game? I think it's pretty obvious that it's not, but that's just me.
Weirdly, I probably enjoyed watching the end of the game where the young guys were in and making a comeback more than I've enjoyed a lot of wins this year, despite the fact that the comeback fell short. Obviously, after fifteen years of wanting the Jazz to win more than 99% of things in life, I still enjoy seeing the Jazz win, regardless of who's playing. That being said, I'm just not real invested in the vets (other than Millsap and Watson) at this point. I like seeing anybody lead the Jazz to a win, but watching guys who clearly aren't part of our future take away so many minutes from our promising young core has taken away from some of the wins for me.
I know the young guys aren't quite (or even close to) ready to lead this team to wins on a consistent basis and that they'd struggle at times with increased minutes, but what I care about with this team right now is not watching Al Jefferson, Josh Howard and Raja Bell striving to win games for a team they won't (or at least shouldn't) be on in a year or two, but seeing the young guys grow through the ups and downs. If anybody on this team is going to take us somewhere beyond the realm of mediocrity, it's going to be the young guys. We need to give them every opportunity to do that and show them that we have faith in them and that they're our future. Right now, we're not doing that and I feel like what we're doing instead is substantially less valuable.
