Cats fan here... You sure do have a stacked front-court. How has Derrick Favors been doing? Has there been improvement?

In the last ten games, he's played pretty good defense and is improving there. Offensively, he seems to have regressed pretty majorly.

Al must have read that "most selfish player in the league" thread on the general board.

Al just destroyed Biyombo.

But I was disappointed that Corbin went back to the starters in the 4th. He didn't make a sub until very late in the third, so I figured he was going to let the young guys close it out. I'm getting really frustrated with Corbin.

It was the right move. When you a lose a lead like that, you punish the players responsible for it. You can't let the worst team in recent history make a run at you in the end of a game.

But he didn't reward Favors for playing really hard and scoring a ton in the first half. It feels like young players can't earn minutes, just lose them.

That's because he's more interested in saving his job than developing our players......

If the young guys had been left in we woud have lossed that game. They weren't focused and were constantly getting bad looks.

I think this is ultimately correct. I personally don't think he should be under pressure to win now from the front office, but I think he must be. He's coaching like it.

I don't think you can say that. It's not like the starters came in and instantly put the game away.

At the 1:24 mark of the 3rd quarter, Enes Kanter and Earl Watson checked in for Al Jefferson and Devin Harris. At that point the Jazz had a 76-62 lead -- that's fourteen points.

At the 6:56 mark of the 4th quarter, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson checked in. The Jazz held an 86-73 lead -- that's thirteen points.

(Man, those youngsters sure let the game slip away!)

From there until the end of the game the Bobcats outscored the Jazz 20-13.

Ok they checked in with a 14pt lead and ran it up to 20+. Then the Bobcats gained some momentum and the 2nd unit wasn't getting it done. Sure they came out with a 13pt lead, but you don't make that switch when that lead is down to 2.

If the young guys want to stay in then they need to keep their foot on the throttle. It could possibly be they were tired.
