Enes Kanter gets 2 fouls early and doesn't see anymore playing time for the rest of the game. Favors has 14 points and 5 rebounds in 18 total minutes only to be replaced by Al Jefferson that is 6-14 in 28 minutes.

It's time, Favors is ready.

Gonna start writing up my "Thank you Millsap..." goodbye letter.

Might as well just make that 1st quarter. They have been terrible ever since. It's embarrassing. But hey, it could be worse, the Blazers are losing by 36 with a minute left in the 3rd... :o :o :o

Wow, our defense is pathetic. To let Philly get 29 in each quarter to close the game is absolutely terrible! They are not that great of an offensive team!

Yup, he's gotta go. He is the only player we are willing to trade that anyone is going to want. Forget Al, his contract is very undesirable. Millsap will be the traded player if there is one.

When Big Al missed his first several shots (seemed like the first dozen), I had a bad feeling that this was going to be a loss, even while the game was close. Man, Al's defense, that is the lack thereof, is really apparent when he isn't having a good game on the offensive end, isn't it?

Only guy that had a decent game was Favors.

I thought that the bigs would have their way with Philly, but they came out weak, and there were no outside shots to keep the defense honest.

Apparently both Jefferson and Milsap seem untouchable, and Utah do not want to invest on its young core, so please let Kanter go to a team where he get the minutes he deserve.

That means there won't be anything to save Utah from its mediocrity, but I think Utah does not mind it and seems fine with that.

I didn't get to watch this game, but I'm going to look at the box score and pretend like I know what I'm talking about.

First of all, Philly is having a great year. To be honest, any team over .500 is a tough game on the road. So hey, no hard feelings about the L. I saw it coming a mile away.

My hard feelings stem from our veterans. These are the veterans our young guys are being forced to learn from? Yikes.

Seriously, if you are not a Jazz fan, and just a Kanter fan, plese do not post here. It's really getting annoying the whole "let Kanter go to a team that let him play the minutes he deserves". Fact is, Kanter is a Jazz man and he'll play the minutes the Utah Jazz give him. Oh, and BTW, he's a rookie, hasn't played much bball as of late and has a LOT of improving to do off the game floor (like not getting blocked EVERY DAMN **** GAME), so he doesn't deserve ANYTHING. If you're a fan of another NBA team, go post to their forum. If you are just a Kanter fan, then feel free to create a whole website about him and put whatever the hell you want in it. But here, just GTFO!!!!

Favors turn around fade away jump shot on the baseline made the entire night worth while for me.

If that's in his repertoire he's going to be unstoppable on offense. That shot is what made Garnett so good for so many years.

That was a beautiful thing to see - helped ease the pain from what CJ and Raja were doing on the court (nothing)

Yes I am Kanter fan. But I want him to be in a successful and contender team. Most Utah fans (maybe also u) here will accept these two facts:
1. With Jefferson and Milsap getting the minutes, the team can only get up to 8 th spot, to be swept by Thunder.
2. Young players need to get minutes to be better. I am not saying that he is better than Jefferson. He is a good player, but we know what he is capable of. In Kanter we are yet not sure about his potential. In order to improve his potential and/or shorten the time that he will reach that potential he needs minutes.
Maybe a third is that Jefferson is not at this team's future, and will be traded this or next year, whenever someone to match him found.

So please tell me why Kanter should not get more minutes? He is Utah's future? and this team is not a contender. I am not saying Utah should tank this year, I am saying to give Kanter, Favours and other young players more minutes, and adding that 3, 5 or 10 more matches lost because of that means nothing.

If Kanter did 2 fouls, let him do 2 more. This season is already gone. Being 8th or 12th does not matter.

I really like Kanter, and think he will be a blue chip player for the Jazz for years to come, but let me tell you this right now. There is no way he could play more than 15 mins a game right now in his current condition and exit the season healthy. He had a very long time away from competitive basketball and it would be absolutely foolish to push that kind of pressure on his body.

His minutes per game are right where they need to be this season. When he can get a full off-season of weight training and pre-season training period under his belt, he will be much more set to play a full regular season.

I love what he is giving the Jazz in almost 15 mins a game.

Favors, on the other hand, should be seeing 30 minutes a game, and Burks 20 mins.

Return to Utah Jazz
