Re: Bulls Game Thread
I didn't watch this game. Can someone explain to me why Tinsley and Miles combined for 18 field goal attempts but Hayward and Favors only had 7 combined?

I watched the whole game and can't explain how it happened. So odd. Tinsley made a couple shots in the second half and then decided he was on fire which is part of it, but it still so strange.

I know some of you really like Al Jefferson, he might be a talented big man, but because he is such a bad team player, the Jazz suffer when he is on the court. The best we were playing was in January when favors and kanter were getting more minutes than they are now. Our depth was our weapon, we had energy, and we were able to play like a team most nights. Jefferson kills our team chemistry. It starts on the defensive end. He is unwilling to foul a big man or play legitimate help defense. On the offensive end, his game is post ups and push shots to the tune of 1.1 points per shot. He does not get to the foul line, and other teams don't respect his passing ability enough stop double teaming him on a regular bases. When the defense collapses on him, he usually just takes a worse shot than he usually would on a one on one post up.
Imagine being Hayward, cutting on a regular basis and never getting the ball when its clear that Big Al should be passing. Most times we get on a legitimate run, our offense will cool off after a five second pause and a push shot by Al. There is no energy there and the teams were playing against are consistently willing to allow Jefferson to take his shots. Their management isn't dumb, they can read the stats on his end game efficiency and they know they can throw the ball to their center and run a very low risk of layups being blocked or legitimately contested.
Corbin needs to realize this. As bad as it is that he is not playing the younger wings enough, letting favors and kanter rot on the bench is a crime. They continually becoming less and less hopeful that they can earn minutes over veterans that are not going to be on the team in two years. Favors and Kanter are the guys we want to stay in Utah, not Big Al.
We are not going to win now, but we have players on our team that could be integral parts of a championship roster. Not developing them is a horrible decision that Corbin makes on a game to game basis.
Winning teams don't trade their star player for 2 20 year olds and then sit them on the bench all game. Winning teams don't gun for the 8th seed, and winning franchises recognize the need to rebuild.
Now if we could only get someone interested in Big Al, it's doubtful, but its still a hope.

I'm not sure there's anyone left here who really likes him. Some people think he's okay, some would prefer to keep him for the rest of his contract, but I'd be shocked if anyone here wants to build the team around him.
Am I off-base?
