from numbers, big al. For hustle and efficiency, Sap. But at the end i say Hayward get the accolade, because he was used as a guard, a forward, a sixt man, defender on opponents best players.... he did everything for his team to succeed, when the offense was usually set for other players.

Its gotta be Paul. He's a winner. Al isn't, and Gordon was just a non-factor in far too many games. Millsaps work ethic is also a huge plus for our young players.
Misc aside, Al's shot blocks might be the best example to date of why blocks are overrated. He gets 2 a game miraculously when like a PG takes it into the lane on him, or someone makes a terrible move in the paint. But blocks are more valuable when evidence of altering many other shots that don't get blocked (ie Howard etc), and Jefferson just does contest at all an enourmous percentage of shots in his area (often not even getting his arms above his waist), in addition to ruining our pick and roll schemes.

Al had a pretty crucial block against Dallas...

Jefferson first by a nose. I'd say Millsap and Hayward were tied in second/third because Millsap was great the first 2/3 of the season. Hayward was great after the All-Star break.
Unsung hero is probably Favors. He was the reason why the Jazz got back into the playoff hunt. That two-week stretch with wins over the Heat, Lakers and Thunder was a major confidence booster.
That 4OT loss in Atlanta also killed our momentum though.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Hayward this year. I caught a few of his games last year, and he looked pretty shaky. But I root for guys who play hard so I'm glad to see I was wrong about him.

my heart says millsap or hayward, but my brain says jefferson. he has been the leader on the team the whole year. from what i read, jefferson was one of the glue guys off the court keeping the team together, joking with each other.
without jefferson, this team breaks apart when they struggled earlier in the year.

Co player of the year- Millsap and Jefferson
Take either of these guys away and we just don't make the playoffs this year.. Plain and simple

Have no trouble believing Jefferson held everything together off the court. For all my criticisms, he seems like a great teammate and a great person. So, that should definitely be taken into consideration in the Most Valuable Jazz Man discussion. I'm still inclined to say Paul, though.

Hayward has played really well the last 20 games, Millsap began great, and he is finishing great, but he played poorly in february...
That's exactly what happened.
