Call me crazy, but I think the Jazz are in a perfect position to deal Jefferson/Millsap/Harris for Dwight and enough cap space to sign Deron, putting the two of them on a team with our 4 main young guys.

I know Deron has said he doesn't want to come back and this is far from a preferred destination for Dwight, but that lineup has to hold some appeal....

I quit NBA if this happens. What is the point in watching if it is constantly going to be a game of trying the make the Lakers the most unbeatable, the quickest possible. I would switch to hockey but we don't have a team.

Maybe it would be a sign from god to move on in life. Hah

DWill/CP3 combo in LA would be nuts...Really couldn't stand both Dwight and DWill ending up there w/ Kobe though.

The way that I think that it will play out is:

1. Lakers make the best offer for Dwight and Orlando accepts it, which includes both Gasol and Bynum (could include a third team and one of them going to that third team in return for assets).
2. They have a behind the scenes agreement with Deron that he wil join the Lakers if they get Dwight Howard.
3. Deron signs after the Dwight trade.

Lakers overpay for Dwight, because they know that they are going to get Deron as part of the deal.

The only thin that may stop it is Dwight's ego and his earlier frustrations with Kobe's comments.

And how exactly would the Lakers afford Deron? He isn't signing for the MLE...

Trade exception for Andrew Bynum as part of the three team trade.

Return to Utah Jazz
