Well guys like hollinger and locke don't love a draft unless their are multiple locks at the top to be allstars. Many thought 09 and 11 drafts were gonna be among the worst of all time and then they all back-tracked on that statement after those players proved them wrong. This draft is gonna be great and is worth all the hype its getting.

As for Kanter, the key is to point out what you are 100% sure he can do and not what you believe he can do. I know he works hard, gives good effort, and has good size. Everything else including his rebounding which looks promising is still up in the air. Problem with what I know about Kanter is that I knew that before he was drafted, didn't need to see him play. I still would personally take drummond over him without thinking because one thing I know is that drummond has elite level big man athletism which is extremely important in this league and that something he can rely on to produce in this league where Kanter must rely on mostly skill which is scary because it takes a long time to develop skill (and i mean at least 5 years).

I also know Drummond had great size and their may be attitude questions but I'm 100% sure he isn't derrick coleman or ron artest so I'm fine with it. I think he's alot better than his college preformance showed just like Favors was better than he may have seen in college. I'm more than willing to take the risk for his talent level.

Realize that Davis has potentially 4 other first rounders on the team with him, including maybe the second best player in country. He's good, no doubt about it, but he has a lot to prove still.

No, they didn't. Carmelo in particular had a much worse Freshman season than Davis other than his tournament and Beasley was one of the worst defenders in college basketball.

No one on Kentucky's team came close to the 2nd best player in the nation. If you're referring to MKG, he wasn't even defended in half-court sets by most of the teams Kentucky played in the second half of the season.

Analyst like Hollinger, Ford, and Locke have backed off this draft a bit and say it isn't worth all the hype it was getting a year ago.

This happens to every draft ever. I've watched most of these guys a lot, they're mostly good.

That solves that...

You have watched most of these guys a lot and they are mostly good.

I am not sure why we are having this conversation. You should sharpen your pencil and polish your resume. You are about to get a new job.

I would take the word of most analysts over yours (no offense, I'd take them over myself even).

There are some players with flaws in the draft and others that didn't improve as much as thought.

David Locke has admitted that he's only watched around two games each of some of these prospects and none of most of the guys, he's not a draft analyst and draft guys get too caught up in negative hype when they realize there aren't five superstars in the draft (though there never are) and their team will continue to suck because they have the 5th or 9th pick.

Regardless, you were implying that my liking of this draft was based on hype before the year from pundits and it's not at all.

After the fans see the improvements Kanter has made in the off season, any talk of trading him for anybody will stop.

As Kanter's mechanics improve, he's going to become a dominate paint player. He's been working on those things and he'll be more fluid with more explosive ability next year.

Kanter's potential is amazing. Fans just don't understand the depth of Kanter's natural abilities and that to this point he's had very little refining from coaching.

His progress this year and next year is going to blow fans away.

I'm with retiredcoach on this one. At the very least, I want to see what he looks like after an off-season and training camp before I jump to any conclusion that he is worth trading for someone like Lillard. At least give it until the trade deadline, if not til next year.

AGREED^^^

Kanter hasn't even begun to scratch his potentail. He's had hardly any experience and held his own against the best in the NBA. With a yr of coaching, training camp, and a off-season to some what find himself, he will take huge strides in this up coming season and even more the next. This kid and Favors could dominate the middle here in UTAH for the next decade. That is why the Jazz need to get a young PG and SF to grow with them. We could do that with the GS Pick, our pick next yr, Millsap, Harris, and Jefferson. Make two trade somehow to land Lillard and Barnes. This sets the Jazz up for an amazing future... I know that will never happen, but one could.

Let's hope some guys here are right cause I think Kanter is on his way to become Milicic 2.0. For me he has been a disappointment, and his development may take some hits due to the lack of minutes cause the team is full of big men.

Btw don't trade Millsap.

.

Nobody smart would compar Kanter to Darko. DArko can't make a 5 footer and cannot get 10 rebounds a game, even though he is 7-1. Short yellow bus comment.
