I would go with Drummond. Higher risk, but higher potential reward.

Well we weren't going to get an All-Star or someone who was worth 8.5M or more. With a TPE you got to be pretty reasonable, because the team receiving it doesn't not if they will be able to use it, and because of that risk, they will also get a relatively poor return on the TPE too. Look at it this way, we traded Okur for Mo Williams! Okur is beyond done, while Mo had a pretty solid year last year, and was very good when Billups went down. He's the outside shooter we've been looker for.

Fans expectations of what they could get in trades in this league can be comedic gold. I don't think there is a better possible outcome for the Jazz using the TPE. Mo is a great outside threat, which we desperately need. If he comes in and sucks it up, he is expiring next year freeing up 8.5m. That is worst case scenario. There really is no lose in this trade. This is one of the few trades in the NBA that could be a home run for every club involved, assuming Odom plays like 3 years ago and Deron goes to Dallas now that they have the cap space to take him on. Hollinger loves this trade for the Jazz also.

I like Mo Williams too for the Jazz. He's our version of Jason Terry, a scoring combo guard who will have the green light, and who can feed our post players. Now opposing teams can't just completely back off our PG and clog the lanes.

Also, I'm not sure what the Jazz FO would have done with Barnes vs. Drummond. My own view is that Drummond is the bigger impact player and a potential All Star, whereas Barnes seems like a Steve Smith or Rashard Lewis spot-up shooter. Back when we thought we were getting a pick this year from you guys, we were debating Barnes and we didn't think he'd be ahead of Hayward in the rotation.
