Its perfectly ok as long as its not a sign of a mental breakdown of sorts...

As long as he stays productive and continues to work on his game then I'm fine with it.

pissing off turkey's coach tanjevic isn't the smartest thing to do. okur did the same and wasn't nominated ever again.

Who do you think Kanter is listening to? Who does he have on speed dial?

Kanter's dad released a statement. Well, he just asks the Turkish media to cool down and reminds everyone that Enes has played and will play for the national team again. Nothing new on the actual situation/Enes' decision.

But TIL: His dad is a Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kanter and his younger brother Kerem plays in the youth squad of the national team.

Edit: Now I know where Enes got his looks from.

nothing to be pissed about, Turkey should achieve the necessary 2nd place to qualify with ease with or without enes and it is not uncommon for nba players to skip insignificant international tournaments. it's disappointing if he refusing communication but knowing the bureaucracy in Turkey, i'd be surprised if there is not more to this story then him not answering phones.

Too bad Memo didn't piss him off years earlier, then maybe his body would have held up longer before breaking down.

I, for one, am happy for Kanter to be rid of such an obligation every year, when he could be resting his body and letting it heal. Sorry, Turks.
