Predict Favors Stats

Obviously derricks numbers are contingent on a lot of unknowns, but do your best to estimate some realistic stat lines as:

a starter, with al and Millsap still around

with one of the other bigs traded

and if he ends up coming off the bench

If Al and Sap are still around I don't see his numbers changing much. If one is gone I see him being a double-double guy...say 15 and 10 or so. If both Al and Sap are gone he could be a 20 and 12 guy.

last year stats

Playoffs Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
First Round UTA 4 1 29.0 0.417 0.000 0.586 3.5 6.0 9.5 0.5 1.2 1.5 1.2 2.8 11.8

Season Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
11-12 UTA 65 9 21.2 0.499 0.000 0.649 2.4 4.1 6.5 0.7 0.6 1.0 1.6 2.2 8.8

i expect (without trades incoving Sap or Jefferson) 25 mpg with 10 points, 8 boards, 1block 1assist.

after the all star break i can imagine a trade.... and his mins growing to 30, along with 15 points and 10 boards.

If he stays and Millsap goes.

35 minutes, 15 PPG, 10 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.5 BPG, 1 SPG team becomes much better defensively and remains good offensively with more production from Hayward, Burks, Williams making up for the gap between Millsap and Favors offensively.

If he stays and Jefferson goes.

32 minutes (more foul trouble) 15 PPG, 9 RPG, 1 APG, 1.5 BPG, 1.5 SPG team remains much the same defensively but takes a strong step back offensively with Jefferson no longer the defensive focus for other teams shots become much harder to come by and overall efficiency drops.

If Millsap and Jefferson both stay.

30 minutes a night (will start at PF post all star break at latest with Sap returned to 6th man roll) 13 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.5 BPG, 1 SPG team becomes much better defensively and overall as they retain offensively with top notch depth allowing them well rested talent at C Big Al, Kanter, Favors PF Favors, Millsap, Williams SF Williams, Millsap, Hayward SG Hayward, Burks and Mo Williams very comfortable playing heavy minutes in a contract year with all that fire power around him and being a good fit between scorer, floor spacer and solid PG.

I truly believe that this is perhaps the one team in the NBA capable of shocking the league through internal improvements. Jefferson, Millsap, Mo and Marvin all have just enough to prove and just enough balance of being team driven wanting to lead a team to success to allow Favors, Hayward, Burks and Kanter to grow into their spots around them.

I truly believe that if Corbin handles this camp correctly and if everyone comes to camp in shape (eyes on Big Al even though he is my guy and the reason why I became interested in the Jazz) and allows Favors to beat Sap out at PF without it costing them Millsap they could put up 50+ wins and should compete for the 4th seed with the Blazers.

Everyone thinks the Wolves are the dark horse or the Nuggets again but i'm sorry I just don't see it. Of course should a Dwight Howard to Rockets deal happen then they become the 4th seed most likely. I think the Mavs, Clippers, Nuggets and Grizzlies comeback to earth.

Clippers, between Griffin getting hurt, Billups older and off major injury, Chris Paul not having a deal inked yet, Lamar Odom possibly screwing up chemistry or getting Jordan unhappy about his minutes if Odom plays well and just the highly likely factor of Jamal Crawford sucking and keeping the ball out of better players hands.

Grizzlies, least we forget they gave an unathletic Zach Randolph huge money right as he turned 30 and started physically braking down when he was already poorly conditioned to begin with being paired with a cheap owner also paying Gay a ton, Gasol a good chunk of change and Conley making some bucks for middle of the road PG play at best. They've got questionable depth and have been extremely unsuccessful developing draft picks from Chris Wallace's drafts with Hollins at coach.

Mavs, hey Dirk isn't getting younger, Carter isn't going to play nearly as well knowing they aren't actual contenders and they're going to have Rhoddy and Mayo sharing the basketball in the backcourt with Marion requiring a quality passer to get him some offense. They might be in real danger of having to deal Dirk at the deadline and rebuilding.

Nuggets, Sure they've got some talent but the problem is they've all got long term deals and they're ceiling just isn't too high. I also think its pretty obvious and likely that their better players like Miller, Affalolo, Chandler, etc aren't going to be real happy that Mr knuckle head McGee with no real game, basketball IQ or clue on how to win got more cash then they did.
