Did anyone else see this?

Post#1 » by Inigo Montoya » Wed Sep 19, 2012 11:25 am

Sometimes I can't understand how respectable websites and sport writers allow themselves to put on their site such nonsense. From Hoopsworld (Jazz preview):

Top Defensive Player: This superlative also belongs to Al Jefferson. Jefferson leads the team in defensive rebounds (7.4) and blocks (1.66). He rates as one of the top low-post defenders in the league, never requiring help. Derrick Favors warrants mention here, though, because he has the potential to be even better than Jefferson on the defensive end.

I'm a Big Al guy, I'm guessing it is clear by now, but come on.

Mr. Yannis Koutroupis - credibility gone.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I'm speechless. That's ludicrous.

I did see that. It's easy to tell what writers follow the NBA and what writers follow the Stats.

Well I did read somewhere that he held the guy he was guarding to 38% shooting in the post. But pick in roll was different, he was one of the worst in the league.

Man to man he holds his own against anyone in the league. But your right about pick and role defense. He is below average at best there.
