He didn't have the best freshman season as far as scoring goes but still averaged 9 ppg. The key thing is that he's an efficient and willing distributor - it will be interesting to see how he develops during his sophomore year and if he falls to a place in the draft where the Jazz can snag him.

Kabongo is first and foremost a pass first point guard. He has very good natural point guard instincts, displays a consistently high basketball IQ, and is extremely unselfish. Combine that with his excellent court vision and these are extremely promising qualities for a point guard prospect to have, particularly one at such a young age. Kabongo was 7th in the DraftExpress database in assists per field goal attempt, and his 6.7 assists per 40 minutes pace adjusted was the top mark among freshman in our top 100 database.

Yes, we do have our pick. I think that there are a lot better players out there than Kabongo. I still really like Aaron Craft. This year just isn't going to be a strong point guard class (again) so we'll be looking at BPA (at this point, there may be players that surprise). I wouldn't be surprised if Dario Saric was one of our picks, especially in the mid-late lottery with his contract issues. I really like Kevin Pangos, but he might be available in the second round.

I'm not that high on Kabongo, but it is true that while there will be quite a few PG prospects, none of them seem to have a super high ceiling. I think Nate Wolters is worth a gamble, and should be relatively easy to get.

I'm hoping we resign Mo for like 3/15, and then draft Trey Burke (who I believe is far and away the best PG prospect this draft, and most definitely the best P&R point, which I love regarding Favors) and give him 1 or 2 years behind Mo before taking over.

Burke is very quick, can shoot, dribble, penetrate, pass, run the P&R. The only knock on him is his size (listed from 6'0" to 6'1"), but I think players like Ty Lawson, Darren Collison, even Chris Paul have proven that you don't have to be 6'3" to run the point.

I'm a big fan of Craft too but I heard he's not all that interested in pursuing a career in basketball... we'll see what happens though. Would be hard to turn down the NBA for whatever else he wants to do...

Personally, I would love to get Tony Mitchell, Leslie, McCollom or Kabongo. I haven't seen much of the other guys though... I really like Kabongo's pick and roll ability and court vision. I think he'd be a solid guy to run the offense, but I don't think I ever see him being a big time player. Would probably be something more similar to what Maynor did/does.

OS ANGELES -- It started with Jamal Crawford. The Los Angeles Clippers’ offseason import was instantly struck by how dynamic an athlete his new backcourt mate was, and so he needed a nickname that fit.

“Mini-LeBron.”

Thanks to Crawford, it’s what most of the Clippers are calling Eric Bledsoe these days. And now even his nickname-sake is joining in.

“[LeBron] actually called me that when we left the court,” said Bledsoe after the Clippers’ 107-100 victory over the Miami Heat at Staples Center. “Yeah, he did. He said, ‘This is Baby LeBron.’”

While Crawford often draws the (warranted) praise for his scorching off-the-bench scoring, Bledsoe has continued the sparkplug role he became associated with during last season’s playoff run. In his third season with the Clips, the 22-year-old has surged statistically through eight games: 10.4 points a game (up from 3.3), with 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.4 rebounds. The pace-adjusted numbers are even better: 22.18 player efficiency rating (PER), 23 points, 6.3 assists and 5.4 rebounds per 40 minutes. LeBron-like totals, one might say. And that’s not to mention his ferocious on-the-ball defense, his real forte.
