The official Fire Corbin Thread

Post#1 » by FJS » Sat Nov 10, 2012 7:18 pm

I have to admint i'm very patient.
For example, I wasn't tired of Sloan, altough I Know he was predictable and was losing "his touch". I never wanted him to step up and I felt bad. Still I though it was a little bit of hope to improve.... but then Corbin arrived and show us Sloan was 1000 miles away for him.

Everybody see when Favors is in the game our defense improve a lot. Still he is doing the same rotation if the game goes well or not. He is like a robot.

Then, you watch other teams fire their coaches when they don't show they are able to make some improvement (Brown example)

So, do you want Corbin to be fired?
In that case, what coach do you want to our team?

Jazz are never going to fire anyone....... Corbin would have to go and piss on Larry Miller's grave for the organization to even consider letting him go.......

It doesn't matter how many games he loses or players he wastes.......

wish he would be fired and Nate McMillan would replace him but Corbin was just extended and the Jazz want to save money and will have Corbin for this season and next at the very least.
Play with the Pass, Play with a Purpose, and Play with Pace along with Obvious Unselfishness....Coach Snyder says the sky is purple than Jazz players say nice purple sky! LONG LIVE THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!

That's sort of where I'm at too, FJS. I didn't want to jump to any conclusions with Corbin, believing he deserved a fair shake, but despite how early we are into this season, my patience has worn thin. He just seems completely clueless out there. He's not a great "Xs and Os" guys, his substitution patterns make you go "uh...", and he doesn't seem capable of lighting a fire under anyone. All that being true, what are you left with?

Well even though I think Corbin is taking too much blame and most of the blame should go to the suckage of the players, thats just the nature of the business. I mean people say silly stuff like "our defense improves when Favors comes in". WELL OF COURSE IT DOES!!!! Most of the time when he comes in then the other teams 2nd unit starts coming in. Let Favors play 30 + mins versus first team units then lets see if he doesn't getting into early foul trouble or commit a bunch of stupid turnovers in a row on a consistant basis.

Corbin often stays with the veterans because they will most likely perform best versus the other teams 1st unit while the guys like Favors won't and will have better production off the bench. He's gonna stick with the veterans for that reason hoping they will turn it around if their playing bad instead of hoping guys like Favors will be able to perform good in important moments in the game. People always think the grass is greener on the other side until they actually see the other side. I hope corbin decides to start the young guys 30 mins a game and see how long it takes you guys to beg him to stop.

That didn't take long at all...
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I think Corbin is learning actually but there are some growing pains for the fans.

Count me in. His refusal to make a substitution during the run where the Nuggets were just clobbering the starters on Friday was stunningly inept.

I don't think Phil is the right coach for this team.

The Lakers wouldn't even take back Phil with his list of demands and system that must suit the players.

When Adelman was available I could not understand for the life of me why we werent pursuing him and giving Corbin the "thanks but we upgraded" treatment....

Instead we feel like Corbin is entitled to a lifetime acheivement award and we will waste our talented players' abilities while the Timberwolves inch closer to being a contender each year with Adelman...

I couldn't agree more. Adelman is worth chasing and we should still be after him.

Is it time to sticky this thread or will it just get bumped every game?
