Cousins? I know he is a head case, but if we traded for Cousins, he becomes a RFA in 2013, so we can match anything or let him walk. Al Jefferson is more than likely going to walk away or we're going to over pay to keep him. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on the kid, winning cures everything, and I think a change could do the kid good. I know the kid has been a headcase from before the NBA too, but hey, we aren't winning a title any time soon, so is it not worth taking a risk? Maybe we can try to get to package Jimmer as well.

well after the last few games I'm.. getting tired of Jefferson's play..

I don't want Cousin's on this team either although his rookie contract is pretty cheap. Trade would have to be totally lopsided for the Jazz (like Raja + cash/evans or something) to take on that crybaby. Trying to imagine Favors and Cousin's running on the court together....would be scary...

If Jefferson is on this team past the trade deadline, I'm done.

I can't handle it anymore.

Trade him for a piece of old pizza for all I care.
Jazz on your face.

Hello Boys and Girls!

This forum is not that active as it should be, so i decided to give it a try with my 1st post after reading for some months or so.

To me, this trade would be pretty obvious, provided that Bargnani comes from the bench, 15 mpg average.
We find playing time for Favors/Kanter and Burks, Foye would be gone and we would have a (potentially) very good PG

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cds8guo

What do you think about that?

So, we're going to pay Andrea $10 mil a year to come off the bench and play 15 minutes? I don't think we can actually afford to do that.......

Yes. overpaid, but more effective.
It would be same with Jefferson. In my opinion Big Al is the perfect bench player, who gives you 12/7 a night.

You don't understand, the Jazz will have to pay Favors, Kanter and Hayward, those three alone will probably command somewhere close to $35-40 mil a year........ The Jazz are not a franchise that can afford to pay a bench player $10 mil a year.......

I understand that. But Bargnanis contract ends 2015, before Kanters and at the same time Favors and Haywards Contract end. Also Bargnani has a early termination option.
It is better to get a overpaid, but good bench production than not getting the so important minutes for your youngsters.
and you could steal a TOP 10 PG.

No to Bargs because jazz fans aint gonna do nothing but complain about him endlessly and there is like zero chance that he comes off the bench.

Guys like Millsap and Bargs are not coming off the bench for anybody anytime soon as long as their healthy so get those thoughts out yall heads.

You can put a pile of crap in a designer box and dress it with the most seiest wrapping paper and bow you can find but someone else still doesn't have to open the box to know its a pile of crap due to the smell.

No one wants Amare and I mean no one and theres nothing the knicks can do to change that

You realize that Amare is seen as a completely untradeable contract, right? And that in return for taking him on you're asking the Jazz to give up two expiring contracts -- one of which belongs to the Jazz's starting center --AND a first round draft pick?

Go shop your garbage offer somewhere else.

You can argue that Amar'e sucks after all those injuries, but this trade has some credit. In essence, the Jazz are giving up only the GSW pick for Amar'e and Shumpert (whose energy I like). STAT fits nicely with both Favors and Kanter, and expires the season we need to extend Enes and Burks. Plus he's most likely better in a flex system than Al ever will be.

We need to fill out cap space next year anyways, and maybe, just maybe, getting Amar'e would be better than committing to any other FA available next year.

Shumpert
Hayward
Williams
Stoudemire
Favors

That's a nice balance of offense and defense, imo.

And Shumpert tore his ACL.

Trading for Amare is about the worst thing the Jazz could do right now.

4 of 13 fg no sign of defense(0 blocks 0 steals) vs. Denver tonight

Big Al showing his low IQ taking jump shots when they aren't falling instead of attacking the basket.

From the outside looking in as a Cavs fan, I see his as a perfect situation for us to get the type of offensive big that we desperately need to add to your core.

I'm just trying to get a feel for what type of package you guys would be looking for.

What makes it interesting is our GM, Chris Grant, has been interested in Al Jeff in the past.

Jazz will trade you AL JEFF if you trade Side Show Bob- The Brazilian+ but we will deal him in a 3 way for a PG.
