You're probably right. I tend to think deference to the vets is the biggest reason for his rotational decisions as well. I feel like a preference for conventional lineups is also a factor (albeit a smaller one), but I could definitely be wrong. It might just be that deference to the vets coincidentally leads to conventional lineups, whereas playing the best players on the team as much as possible would necessitate less conventional choices (like playing the big lineup or playing Burks at the point).
In any case, I strongly disagree with Earl taking a spot in the rotation from Burks or DeMarre. That was my main point.
