there are plenty of starting PGs who make less. 10M for a starter who is not elite or close to that is A LOT. that's not about right.

no, mo is not going to ask for 10M. mo and jennings are in different points in their careers. jennings is a young player who is just ending his rookie contract, while mo is a 30 year old player who's big paydays are behind him.

mo is making 8.5M because he is on the last year of his contract that he got when he was in his prime in cleveland with lebron. just because a player is ending a contract, doesn't mean that he will automatically look for MORE money, just like calderon is not going to ask for more than the 11M he is getting this year.

and if you want jennings, just remember that it is not only how much you will pay him per year, it is for HOW LONG you are going to do that. and right now he is looking for more than 10M per year for four or five years.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Sign Calderon for $5m?

The way we are losing, we have the 15th or 16th pick now......we may be able to get Burke.

I'd be down with this. I want the Jazz to draft a PGOTF, and then sign a pass-first veteran like Calderon or Maynor. No more chucker PGs like Mo, or offensively challenged like Tinsley or Watson.

All I know for very good reason, I would like to see Millsap gone, even if we keep Jefferson a little long, but we can't bring in any new rotational player, I want a 3 man rotation with Kanter Favors.

I also want the best pick we can get while not blowing our selves on the sideline cause lakers take our 8th spot. If we could get a mix of 3 PG's, a decent FA PG like Calderon, a Draft like Burke for bench, and keep Tinsley saftey reason who has proven a valuable asset.

For the rest, I am half/half on Marvin, I think he could be better, and we could do worst. With Hayward at SG, I think were safer with a Carroll/Marvin rotation while intigrating Evans! Unless we can get a replacement FA....chances are he is back next year.

Personally I would like to see Burks and Foye rotate, and Hayward and Carroll, with Leslie and Evans as backup. And if Leslie pans out with good D, I would question Burks future with Foye around. In the sense he will no longer be PG, and we will have 2 SG's in Hayward and Foye with Leslie...
