i respect lindsey, but until we see some actions and his fingerprints on jazz moves (for better or worse), it is all talk and lip service to me. though i do think he'll make his mark.

I agree that this next year or two will reveal who Lindsay is (or what the FO allows him to be).

However, overall he comes across as a nice, genuine guy. He'll use the term rebuilding as it is honest, even if the Millers and KOC aren't willing to be honest, although I don't really think it is fooling anyone.

I also found it interesting that when it came to discussing Corbin, he pointed to the Miller family and organization support. Although he tried to point out a few good things Corbin did throughout the season (keeping the vets happy is the go to line, although why shouldn't they be happy?- they all played more minutes than they deserved), the underlying sentiment I had was that Lindsay is not on Corbin's bandwagon.

LOL I like the part where he saids the last twenty games Ty finally ran the pick n roll. It took ty 62 games to figure what everyone else figured out last season.

Signed Chris Quinn as a free agent.
Signed Trey Gilder as a free agent.
Signed Darnell Jackson as a free agent.

October 18, 2012
Waived Trey Gilder.

October 25, 2012
Waived Chris Quinn.
Waived Darnell Jackson.

March 10, 2013
Waived Raja Bell.
Signed Travis Leslie to a 10-day contract.

March 27, 2013
Signed Jerel McNeal to a 10-day contract, then signed to a contract for the rest of the season.

So far he's said all the right things, in my opinion, but hasn't done anything concrete that counts on his "permanent record" one way or the other. This summer should change that.

Lindsey's job is to help to choose the right players. We'll se what happens, but the proccess will be slow. This free agent and draft classes aren't precisely deep or good enough.

Jazz have to change some of the criteria they used to draft guys... If you look at it closely, you will find that the Jazz could have been running a team featuring Rondo, Dragic, KThompson, PGeorge, KFaried, TGibson, Ibaka, MGasol... but they went other ways.... they lost or misuse some number of draft assets... they somewhat have drafted looking their own noses too much... they overvalued some guys they have and undervalue some known good comodities...
I really think some of the above had to do with the decision to bring Lindsey....

As JVG said recently "the most important player or person in any organization is the person that picks the players"...

I should elaborate on my post: I really, really like listening to Dennis. I agree with basically everything he says whenever I hear him talk.

But... We have absolutely nothing to judge him on yet.

I find it easy to agree with Lindsey; he just make sense (and that's not a thing you can say that often about sports dudes). I think we have to wait at least until after 14-15 season mid season deadline to start judging him, because obviously he's not the one to blame for the Jazz to accumulate assets for one if the worst off season markets we've seen in a looong time... The good thing is KOC cleaned the house, now we'll see what Lindsey can do with it.
