DMC is a great guy and a fun player but he is not a game changer. I enjoyed watching his hustle but I can live without him.

I'm reading it had more to do with potential role after trade today. For all we know it was what the Jazz were offering. He just didnt want to be buried on the bench.

Buried behind whom? If anything I'd assume his role would be bigger with Marvin's injury, Rush still rehabbing, and Jefferson being old.

If one of these two picks ends up top 10, good job. Otherwise, a **** travesty of a trade.

I wonder if Millsap regrets turning down the extension the Jazz offered him last year since it had an extra year on it and was worth overall, more money. logic tells you he should regret it. so he is atl's problem now.

It's unfortunate that things turned sour in the latter part of his Jazz tenure, but Millsap's story with the Jazz remains one of amazing success for a 2nd rounder. Good luck to him on the rest of his career.

Just a two year deal? I guess Paul wasn't as wanted as he (and some people on this board) thought he was....... And Atlanta? I can't help but smile......

If the Hawks swing Asik in a S&T for Smith, this makes a lot more sense. A three man rotation with Millsap, Horford, and Asik would work well for them with plenty of minutes all around. Paul's probably not starting if that deal happens, but he can still help with 30 to 35 minutes a game there. His game is much more suited to play with Horford then Big Al.

Despite the sourness towards the end, I do wish Paul well in his tenure with the Hawks.

Blazers knew his market value when they tendered that "poisoned offer", which by that time already meant they not only frontloaded but overpaied a little bit too. And that was he best version of Millsap, who would never be the same again. That's why many fans, in spite of the fact that they actually might like Paul, always knew that 8M per year was the absolute max value for him... and Jazz offered it to him.
Paul was great untill he got his paycheck, and then he transformed himself trying to emulate kind of a wing forward with range and forgetting a big deal of what actually brought him to the league in the first place.
Wish him the best.
