To put how good this trade was in perspective: The celtics took a major step back for the opportunity to get 3 first round picks from the nets, they also had to take on the long term contract of wallace, and most people think that the wallace contract is an albatross and I agree. On the other hand, you could argue that the players that the Jazz got aren't much worse than what the celtics had to take on, and in addition, the jazz didn't take on any long term contracts. The Jazz got two first round picks, while the celtics got three first round picks with a high probability that the picks that the celtics receive will be lower than the ones the Jazz get. Also, I predict that the celtics, with or with out rondo, will be worse than the jazz next year.
