It's going to be tough to bring in a guy because we can't promise a large role. My guess is we'll keep one of the Stars from last year and call it a summer.

Ilyasova or Batum would finish the roster nice

FYI, it looks like Rudy is back in SLC based on his Instagram story. I would expect some news there soon. I have a feeling these guys want to announce their big contracts on separate days to get the most attention

If you would like to play around with rotations, you can use this sheet:

Receiving Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans is nothing to write home about.

Lindsay and Co got repeatedly beat at the GM job by the Knicks this week.
(edit: every front office they dealt with this past week)

Robinson III is actually pretty steady. could be useful.

Also, was hoping DeAndre Bembry can be that other D specialist for Utah. Dahntay Jones with better handles and more active offensively

They'll do it separately so Mitchell wouldn't have to worry about Gobert giving him the Coof again. 8-)

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

So ... DLZ gave up 2 seconds to get rid off Ed Davis and the Knicks turned around and sold him for a 2nd round pick. They did the same with Tony Bradley.

So the same players we gave up 3 seconds to get rid off, the Knicks traded 3 days later for 2 second round picks. WTF DLZ? WTF? Do they even call around to see who might want him for free? Or do they just work with their buddies?

It would be amazing if Gobert and Mitchell do a joint press-conference to announce officially their extensions. Kind of an official and public burying of the hatchett. Eh... what's the chance?

Rudy to Jazz FO...

We didn't trade Bradley to the Knicks...... People are also missing the point that we needed to get rid of Davis, Knicks didn't...... So, it's not the same situation......

Not sure if it is Lindsay or Zanik, but they got punked this week, by the Knicks and Pistons! The Jazz usually don't make horrendous mistakes, but they never seem to win the gm game either.

We traded Bradley to the Pistons, which cost us the 38th pick. The Pistons then turned around and traded Bradley to the 76ers for Zhaire Smith. I would much rather have the 38th pick and Zhaire Smith.

The Jazz did not have to trade Davis at the moment they did. They wanted to avoid the luxury tax, which prompted them to trade him.

While the Jazz did not need to trade him now, they did need to trade him...... For all you know later on it might have cost the Jazz more than what they gave up......

Last time I watched Batum was in person about a year ago. He was playing for France in a FIBA Euro qualification tournament vs Bulgaria. Aleksandar Vezenkov and some other 4th rate Bulgarian wings made him look kind of washed. I'm allowing for his form last year being questionable because of the injuries he battled, so... I really think if Batum is willing to come to the Jazz for the min, that would be a great shot to take on a vet who on his better days can guard the perimeter, can playmake and can hit some shots. The only question for me really would be his health... is he healthy right now?

No thanks on Batum. Shaq H or Glen Robinson if still available

Return to Utah Jazz
