I like Bartzokas. Much better than Pascual. Played the young guys till the end and even drew up plays for Vezenkov. What a shame he couldn't hit one of those. Stefan Peno might be a legit NBA prospect, too...

Also... Boston is solid. That team is set up very well for the future. I really hope we take the step forward, otherwise we might will lose Hayward to them.

If I'm Hayward I think long and hard about leaving for Boston. Especially if the Jazz don't show significant improvement this year. Hayward would make that team extremely good. Boston has a better chance of going through Cleveland than the Jazz have of going through the Warriors to get to the finals in the next few years. It's an unfortunate reality.

I honestly don't think Boston is as dangerous of a draw as people think.

I really honestly believe that Gordon wants to stay here in Utah. He's the franchise right now and moving forward and we've shown that we're going to make the right moves to be successful and win. I also think with his family being where they're at, he's going to value consistency and security over moving his roots. Besides, SLC is a far better environment for a family than Boston. Just like his Olympic decision showed, I think Gordon will value much more than just basketball when making his decision. And this past off-season, I think Hayward has made it pretty clear that he wants to be here with how involved he was in the community and with staying here for his training. Like he's said himself, his wife and him have really embraced Utah as their home.

And you can say that Boston has a better chance of going through the Cavs, but let's not forget that they still have LeBron and are the reigning champs who BEAT the Warriors. I don't see that being any easier than beating the Warriors. Down the road? Sure. But right now, I don't think so.

And honestly, I think this team is going to make a big jump this year. Enough that when compared, we'll be just as good or better of an option than Boston.

The Cavs are the champions last year. The Warriors just added Durant. So, right now the Warriors are clearly better. Who won last year has no bearing on the present.

Boston is a family friendly place as well. I love the East coast and would consider moving there if my family had the opportunity. Boston absolutely is a threat in my opinion. Also, don't forget Hayward would probably be in the all star game in the East as well.

Boston also has an incredible fan base. It may not matter to all players, but it was a factor in Al Horford signing there. They treat all of their athletes like heroes. That's not how Hayward is received by the Jazz fan base.

Indeed. And overnight Bill Simmons would be talking about how Hayward was one of the best SF's in the league.

They are looking really nice this game. Dante a layup and a really close dunk plus a few beautiful passed. Dante and Rudy have a connection. Rudy is playing great and even had a nice little floater.

Sidenote - I have gotten Dante and Hill mixed up a few times already while they were playing.

For those of you watching the game, I know a lot of people on this forum really touted Exum for his defense and ability to stop guards with his length. Does anyone have any insight on his matchup with Bledsoe (if he is guarding the 1) or how his defense has been in general?

He's not guarding Bledsoe, he's been guarding Booker. Nothing notable so far...Booker has scored quite a few points on broken plays.

Exum banged his knee by falling into the crowd and got subbed out after limping...

Hopefully this is indicative of Rudy actually improving his freethrow percentage.

Exum looked much better tonight when he played, hopefully he comes back to the 2nd half.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

He played great. He's learned how fast he is, now he needs to learn how big he is and attack the rim a little more often.

Yep. I liked it when he recognized he had the mis-match on Bender and decided to go 1-1, but then he just jacked up a shot instead of going inside. Baby steps.

Joe Johnson has not looked good at all. I thought Boris played well in the first half.
