Nice find with this Purifoy kid. I had not even heard about him but have done a little research this morning and he definitely looks like an nba wing to me. He is already 21 so I would think that if he does continue playing like this then he will definitely enter this draft.

Oh. I missed that he's 21. I just saw he's a freshman. It seems like he's a red-shirt freshman. This probably drops him a bit(would be different if he was doing this at 19), but I'm still intrigued. Can he be a Jimmy Butler type?

Hey guys. Frank Ntilikina is playing at the FIBA tournament that started this week. Here's a game that's going on right now:

Definitely seems like there are a ton of good prospects that haven't even hit all draft boards yet. Purifoy looks huge and has a beautiful jump shot.

Seems like he was red-shirted and spent the whole year in the weight room. It shows! BTW this is a very good sign that he will work on his craft and his body even though he didn't play games at the time. IMO it shows good work ethic.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
On the FRA vs RUS game - Frank is not impressing me so far. Plays too upright on D. Telegraphs passes on O. There are some flashes(the 2 blocks) and the 3 off the dribble going to his left, but overall I expected to see more.
Edit: scratch the thing about his D above - it is actually pretty nice, his length bothers opponets and he gets in the passing lanes and deflects balls left and right. He also made some nice passes. Now that's more like it. I still want to see him create off the dribble. He looks a bit... Exum'ish dare I say. I kinda liked Dante more in the FIBA tournaments, actually.
And just as i typed that, he got another couple of lazy possessions on D. Seems like inconsistent effort. His coach pulled him out of the game. Exum'ish dare I say? WOW, they are closing the game without Frank. Damn, didn't expect this.
Frank back in with 1:40 to go! Created a clean look from 3 after a drive and kick, teammate missed the wide open 3. Made 3/4 FTs in the clutch. France won, but it wasn't pretty. I expected more from Frank.

Looks like he had issues with his grades/eligibility...but the article does say he put a lot of work in during his down time.

He should have just transferred to William Penn. I don't think it will be long before a couple powehouse teams in Naia have players start showing up on draft boards. That's how bad the NCAA and NBA are dropping the ball
I like my prospects the same way I like my women... foreign- pickIBL

I like Markkanen. I'd probably trade Trey Lyles for Lauri right now. Damn! He's filthy smooth on offense! I'm almost touching myself watching his jumper.

A kid to keep an eye on is Frank Howard from Syracuse. He didn't play real well today for the the Syracuse but he is one of those players that caught my eye with the skillset that he has and the way he moves on the court. He is a 6'5" pg with a good frame and a decent shooting stroke from the outside. I wouldn't expect him to enter this draft but definitely a kid to keep an eye on.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
I just finished watching the highlights of Malik Monk against the tar heels and all I can say is wow. I am 100% sold on this kid and would love to see the jazz trade up to snag him. With Hayward and Hood being so good with the ball their hands we don't need a traditional pg and Monk is an elite spot up shooter and the athleticism to be a great defender at the pg position.

I'm still mad that Lauri didn't commit to the U. My pitch to him during his visit clearly wasn't good enough

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
If you guys watn to watch Ntilikina, here's live stream for Italy vs France starting right now:
BTW France has a 15 year old big(6'8") that's 2nd in scoring in the tournament. Sekou Doumbouya. Very interesting.(edit: wow, he's leading the fast break... )
Edit: will be adding notes on Ntilikina here: as I said before he reminds me of Exum a lot. What is good about him is his jump shot looks much better than Exum's. He's scoring jumpshots both on set shots and off the dribble. He even had a mid-range pull up.
Frank is killing Italy. Much better game for him than the first one I watched. He's everywhere. He looks like an NBA player. Running the pnr, driving and dishing, driving and kicking, pulling up for 3p off the pnr, spotting up, disturbing Italy's offense on the other end with his height. Wow! He's at 13pts(100% shooting), 6 assists, 2 rbs, 3 steals, 1 block in 16 minutes of play. Haha, Italy started faceguarding him. He just ran the play we were running for Lyles 3 in summer league where he gives the ball to a big on the wing and receives it right back when he reaches shooting range and shoots right away before the defender decides how to react. Drained it. With a heavy hearth I think I'd say Frank might be better than Exum. I didn't see this last game and I underestimated him from that game. He's obviously much better player than I gave him credit last time I watched.
Finished the half with 15pts(5/6 FG), 6assists, 2 rbs, 4 steals and 1 block. WOW! DOMINATING! That's the semi-final of the tournament BTW.
It's important to note that this is his best game and he hasn't been this good in his other games(he's shooting 34% from the field for the tournament, still 40% from 3). Maybe he's just hot shooting, but his overall floor game looks very very solid.
second half: Frank made a stupid foul and spend the rest of the quarter on the bench. This allowed Italy to come back. Stupid coaches! He keeps punishing Italy when they go under - another splashed 3. Followed by nice drive and layup and 1. In this game he's kind of all I wanted Exum to be.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
Have you guys seen Hamidou Diallo? User PG_AB on jazzfanz posted the following:
He's in a prep-school right now and there is a possibility he will be eligible for the draft. He's quite possibly the best athlete in the draft. Crazy vertical off both one and two feet. Needs skill development and jumpshot though. Worth keeping an eye on. Might be in our range if he declares this year.
Hearing Rumblings that Hamidou Diallo will enroll at UConn for the 2nd semester and end up playing college ball this year.. Like Austin Wiley at Auburn except he'd be draft eligible this year..

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
The final of the FIBA European championship is on:
You guys need to watch no. 45 from France. Sekou Doumbouya ... He's still 15, playing against 18 year olds and killing them. A lot of skill for a 15 year old 6'8 big. He will probably grow more and he shoots the 3 off the dribble, leads fast breaks, has nice touch around the rim... really good prospect. He must be a lottery pick whenever he decides to enter the draft.
Frank is a better prospect than Exum straight up. I'd trade Exum+our pick for the pick that would get us Frank without hesitation.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
HOLY ****! Frank Ntilikina is good! It was so unfair to compare him to Exum. He blew up in their two most important games. Unconscious shooting performance.
ONE MORE STEP BACK 3!!! WOW! I want this kid. He's a baller! had a pedestrian group stage of the tournament and then blew up in their games of elimination. WOW!
I want to apologize to Frank for ever comparing him to Exum. Exum can play for 20 more years and he's never going to hit as many clutch step back 3s as Frank did today in the most important game of his short career so far.
31pts/3rbs/4ast/1stl
11/16 FG, 7/10 3pFG
That's after he dropped 23pts/9ast/4rbs (4/4 from 3) in the semi-final.
You know how player usually throw their coach in the air in celebration? Yep. They are throwing Frank in the air, not the coach. Seems like his teammates love him, too.

Here's highlights from the final:
Oh yah, forgot about that... he hit a behind the back step back 3. Exum can't get the ball behind his back without tangling it up around his shorts.
and from the semi:

Just in case you missed it - that's Lonzo's little brother. Points to the half-court line, stops there and drains it...
Lol... swag.
