HA!

No faith that it can get done in the next couple of hours?

More like no faith he can get through another game without "injury".

Some interesting quotes from Hood:

Hood has remained professional in Utah and understands he’ll either remain with the Jazz and enter restricted free agency, or be traded to a team that gives up value to re-sign him in free agency.

“It’s been tough for me, it has been, but at the same time, my obligation is to have a job,” Hood told Yahoo Sports. “For my family, for my loved ones, my priority is to have a job and perform. I’ve had great times in Utah, but regardless of where I’m playing, whether it’s there or somewhere else, I’m going to stay professional. I’m going to stick with it.

“My gut feeling is that I won’t be here by the deadline. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but I’ve felt isolated the past month and I would not be surprised if I was moved.

“People have told me to put things into perspective. It’s been tough for me to be in this situation, but it’s part of it. It’s part of the growing process. I just have to continue to get better and continue to learn. Whatever unfolds, I want people to know I stayed a pro and performed. I’m just looking to the future, playing in the playoffs and on a high level. Whatever happens, happens.”
...
“I’m very excited about my future, about where I see myself,” Hood said. “I feel this has been my best year. Going forward, what I can accomplish, I always have seen myself playing in the playoffs, playing deep, and winning. I want to be part of that and feel that. But if I stay in Utah, I want to keep performing, keep showing that I can lead on and off the court.”

I wonder what the whole isolated part means? Maybe teammates are frustrated that he doesn't play through minor injury.
Ingles is cooked.

That’s the nicest possible way to say “trade me”. Dude is so likeable. Totally unlike Kanter. Hope he does well wherever he plays

I think he has total support of his team mates. With this kind of money I hardly expect other team mates to push any other team mate to play and risk further injury as they wouldn't want that to happen to them. That's only fans that think a player should do that for them and the city.

I don't think that at all....... just like Favors preparing himself to possibly being traded like Hood is. They have stayed Professional and whatever happens are part of a hot team RIGHT NOW and are part of it ,not causing bad vibes .To be respected .

He's coming off the bench in favor of a rookie, who has become Utah's golden child. He also got booed on his own court. So it's probably a combination of seeing how much DM is loved and how he has taken a back seat to the Donavan Mitchell show.

I hope he ends up in a really good situation for him. He deserves it.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Think he is going to be wearing a Jazz jersey next year.

Agree. I definitely don't have any ill-will for him and his impact gets marginalized because we have three shooting guards that could start on at least 1/3 of the teams in the NBA or more. Hood isn't significantly better than Burks, which makes it look like his impact on our team is really small. If we were going from Hood to a d-league shooting guard, the picture would be much different.

If WIlliams is considering extending in the range of $8M-$10M per year, it is hard to imagine that Hood would command much more. Different contract situations, but still.

LA just got a bargain. Lou is a fool, he could of got a lot more than that.

Based on what? Free agency is going to be a lot different this year, in that there is very little money to go around. It's one reason Utah is considering trading Hood, because RFAs have more trade value right now than they normally do.

Lou’s deal makes me more inclined to keep Hood. Players just aren’t going to get paid like they had the past few years.

I'm fine with keeping Hood if he accepts the sixth man role.

Well if we can get him for $10M more or less, I'm down, I just think he'll get more. We'll see.

Sometimes we forget that these players have families that will be affected by trades to players. It’s not just the player that goes, but also their wives, families, children etc.

For me personally, my daughter has been in the same elementary school class as Rodney’s nephew. Every day she talks about him and how much he loves the Jazz (she has a very obvious crush). When the trade rumors started I talked to her to explain it she got really sad and told me how sad Rodney’s nephew would be. It’s one of the first times I’ve ever felt the emotion of a trade, and I’m not even involved or related to the Hood family. I can’t imagine what it’s like for the player.

This is all just a good reminder to be civil online and understanding of the feelings the players might be going through. Yes they make a lot of money, but their lives can be uprooted at any moment without any sort of warning, something I never have to worry about. What ever happens tomorrow i wish Hood the best. Something we as Jazz fans should all do. Deep down i'd love to keep him in Utah. With Favs. We'll see...
